“My husband and 2 year old granddaughter dined in tonight at this location. A group of 5 teenagers were causing a disruption in the dining area. Bouncing a basketball and throwing trash on the floor, left trash on 3 tables then they moved to a different table. An employee asked them to please pick up their trash and they got mouthy with her and started swearing and refused to pick up the trash. 2 men at separate times went up to them and told them to knock it off or leave. An EMPLOYEE of Culvers named NOAH who was working also got mouthy with one of the customers and was laughing and siding with the disruptive teenagers. (one said he was 14). i sure hope i never see that employee NOAH at this location again or i will not be at that restaurant again.“

“My name is Enzo and I recently graduated high school. For my graduation party, I obviously had to choose Dave's Hot Chicken! I have been a long time fan of Daves. The Apple Valley location is 20 mins away from me, but the drive is worth it every time not only because of the food, but the amazing service. I was not sure what to expect after we ordered 80 medium sandwiches DISASSEMBLED, but all doubts and uncertainty went out of the window when my aunt and I arrived to pick up the goods. The DHC was completely ready within 10-15 minuted upon arriving. They got the order completed WHILE they had an afternoon rush. While under extreme stress, the DHC team was able to get the order right down to the pickles and kale slaw! The service felt like something you would get out of a 5 star Michelin restaurant, not a fast food joint! On top of that, the Daves was such a hit at my party, that we ran out of tenders an HOUR in, so we ordered another 80 TENDERS, which they did NO PROBLEM, which made the rest of my party a success. I seriously don't know how they were able to produce so many tenders in such a short time. Abbie, the manager, was especially helpful in this whole event. She made me feel like a VIP customer, while orchestrating a ginormous order flawlessly. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Super grateful for the amazing effort to make my event so wonderful, which I will remember for the rest of my life. You guys will definitely see me again soon!!“

“Did someone say Jalapeno Cream Cheese Wontons?!?! I had two orders to myself when I went last and every time before that, I have ordered these- mouth watering and the sauce pairs well with them!
I tried the A$$ in the Sand drink that was recommended by our waitress Avery, ended up getting a second one of those- because yum!!!
Avery was very personable, professional, knowledgeable and attentive to our table and others around us. She checked in with us the perfect amount and we never were wondering about a wait or refills needed.
I frequent this location and another for Bingo on Saturdays and always have a great experience. I will continue returning and next time, I’m asking if I can be seated in Avery’s section! Thanks again, Avery- we loved your energy and smile!“

“Food & service was excellent. Minnesota Wild Rice Soup was delicious. My Minnesota cousin said it was the best she'd ever had. The Shrimp and Grits were reminiscent of the best of New Orleans cuisine...just enough spicy with succulent shrimp and creamy grits. Our great waiter (name?/young blondish male) advised well on wine pairing. Cousin had the Artisanal Seasonal Pasta which she found refreshing and rich, but not heavy. Our waiter was excellent, attentive, personable, and professional. Would return anytime, even if just for a bowl of the wild rice soup.“

“Celebrated 2 Birthday’s and the food was fabulous. Started with a Blooming Onion which was very good. Shrimp skewers on seasoned rice was excellent along with fresh green broccoli and a salad which I took home. Portions are big. Enough for a second meal.And a complimentary ice cream sundae. Fresh made rolls were excellent as well. Service was superb. Fun place to celebrate any occasion The other 3 people at our table enjoyed the shrimp, 6 oz filet and salmon. Will definitely be returning. Very attentive staff!“

“Just finished dinner at the Better Half to try out the new after dark menu - 100/10 recommend! We had the ahi tuna stack, miso sea bass, and the lobster pasta (can’t remember the name) and everything was INCREDIBLE. We wanted to order pretty much everything, it was so hard to decide! I would officially consider this one of the best menus south of the River - can’t wait to come back and do another round of taste testing until we make our way through the whole menu! “Yesterday my family celebrated my retirement with a family lunch at my favorite restaurant - Red Robin in Apple Valley. Most of the group had never been to a Red Robin but they are now big fans just like me. The food was exceptional, Heather (our server) was fantastic, and even though we were the only ones who knew it was a special occasion, we were treated to the highest level of customer service! “I have a son who has Celiacs Disease and eating out is always a challenge. Not only is it hard to find places that can accommodate his dietary needs, it’s even harder to find places that have ‘staples’ that actually taste like he remembers before he had to cut out gluten. I heard about this place on a GF Facebook page and my wife I decided to make the 40+ minute drive from home as an end of the week treat. We couldn’t have been more pleased. The menu was actually hard for him to choose from so we almost let him try it all. We started with fried pickles and cheese curds, one of which was completely new to him, and the other which is a rare thing to find because of the batter and non-dedicated fryers. Both were amazing. For his main course he did fried walleye and tater tots. There was so much food that he was able to make it into two more meals the next day and they reheated perfectly in an air fryer at home. For dessert he had GF deep fried Oreos and ice cream. That dish was completely devoured with no leftovers remaining. My wife’s and my meals were not GF, but there was more options than we could handle and those dishes were also amazing.

The ambiance was typical of a small town sports bar/pub, which is again a rarity in terms of finding that kind of food in that type of establishment. Our server was very friendly and the person who delivered the food was equally friendly. I suspect he was an owner or the manager and he answered additional questions we had about the food prep and handling of the GF ingredients and cooking. We will definitely be making the trip back!“
