“This is the best Thai food around! I’ve never been disappointed in the food, and the service is always amazing. Super fast pick up times for take out, and a beautiful patio for summer. This is my ultimate favorite St. Paul restaurant. Don’t miss out on this gem. Menu highlights for me are Pad Krapao, Laab Isaan, curry fried rice and Pad Woon Sen! 😋“

“My fiancé and I came here for a date night and wow!! I can be pretty picky- but they truly had such an amazing variety for how small of a restaurant they are. Their spice levels were great- if you’re a baby, like I am, you can definitely handle their one star spice no problem. Their cream cheese wontons are the best I’ve ever had and their stir fry was that of my dreams. Our service was fantastic!“

“Lemon Thai Kitchen is a real gem! From the outside, it looks like a humble little mom and pop restaurant that probably doesn't get a lot of foot traffic. Inside, it gives the same vibes. BUT, this restaurant is very good! I've come here twice, and both times, the food has been top notch. The pad thai (spicy!!) is very yummy, along with their chicken wings! Their pad see ew was also really good! Friends I've gone with also recommend the tom kha soup and drunken noodles.
Definitely coming back for more!“

“Hoooolee… wow.. came here by a trusted friends recommendation. Got the tom kha, naem sour ribs, and cream cheese wontons and I’m just buzzing about them.
Something that happens when you order tom kha at a restaurant is that the chicken is dry and tough even though it’s in soup, the mushrooms are undercooked, maybe they just get the whole flavor profile wrong (at least for what I’m looking for). But this. This is exactly what I pray for out of every bowl of Tom Kha that I order anywhere. I came in honestly when I probably shouldn’t have because I shouldn’t be eating out, but the food looks so good from my friends social media post that I bit the bullet. The prices seemed really steep initially and now thinking maybe they’re not underselling. The portions are plentiful and flavors just so well crafted, each individual ingredient cooked perfectly and extremely fresh.
The saem sour is a flavor I’ve never tried before, and it’s so delightful on these itty bitty short ribs. Sticky, succulent, a lil jammy… fricken awesome.
The cream cheese wontons were pretty good, not my personal winner but still great. What was outstanding about them was the tamarind sauce I ordered along side.
Anyway, I don’t leave reviews too often, but these dishes were seriously compelling. Thank you HOT GRAINZ!!“

“Got the salmon pumpkin curry. Spicy, but not so much that my low spice tolerance couldn't handle it in small doses diluted with rice. The flavor was excellent and the portions so large I have enough left for 1-2 more meals depending upon how hungry I am.
The restaurant itself is fairly large for where it is and has a great ambience to it. There was hardly anyone there while I was eating but the waiter stopped by multiple times to check that everything was ok and and the staff were all very nice.“

“Not the same as Joy’s original but new ownership has updated the space beautifully and it’s immaculately clean. I’m sure our present hard economic times are to blame for the less-than-perfect review that Joy always earned. I was disappointed but not enough to not return. I’m sad it’s no longer the true Joy’s. Food is still very good albeit with many changes, and the menu is uncomfortably non-substitutable. Rigid. A single diner simply cannot order the fried egg rolls because the order provides four, no half orders allowed. In most restaurants, even a full order of two is often offered by the half. Tea is served via a pot or cup; as a single, I ordered just the cup, but it was cold, and I did want a little more (if it had been hot). Servers are minimal but very personable; attentive and well-intentioned. This was difficult for me to write; I have treasured Joy's for many years. I will return but likely sparingly given the changes and new high cost.“

“I had a fantastic St. Patrick’s Day dinner at Joy’s Thai Cuisine! The Pad See Ew was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked noodles with rich flavors that hit the spot. I paired it with a refreshing Singha Thai beer, which made the meal even better. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. Whether you’re craving authentic Thai food or just looking for a great dining experience, I highly recommend Joy’s Thai Cuisine! 😊“

“Wow, so good! Highly recommend. Already polished off the pork dumplings, calamari, fried shrimp and spring roll appetizers. Had spicy curry. Amazing food! Will definitely be back!“

“I ate here for the first time this week. And I felt that I was back in Thailand. I ordered Thai Noodle soup. (GUAY TIEW). I was stationed there for one year during the Viet Nam War, and ate Thai food every day. Went back to visit in 2019 for 3 months. Returning this winter to live there. Anyways, I have been to several restaurants in search for this dish here at home. And never could find one that was the same. Many were Vietnamese that served Pho and is not the same. It looks the same but the flavor is different. Only Thai cooks, especially from the Issan area have the secret recipe I guess. Guay Tiew is one of the top dishes in Thailand. Right up there with Pad Thai and Tom Yum, etc. I believe that it does not get noticed because there is not a long list of ingredients and spices like most dishes. Also had a perfect Thai Coffee and a Singha beer. The Lady that waited on me was the best one could ask for. Please try the Thai Noodle Soup, (Guay Tiew) for a treat.“

“Taste of Thaiyai is a treasure. Fantastic little place, great food. My favorite is the Pra Ram Long Song with mock duck. Reasonable prices, generous portions. Whenever the opportunity arises, I stop in at Taste of Thaiyai and I'm delighted every time.“

“The husband took our 4 year old and 7 year old to eat dinner there today without me. He ordered 1 kiddie bowl of pho and a 2nd kiddie bowl of broth and meatballs only. They charged him for 2 adult phos (16.00 each= 30 total) ontop of the regular entres he ordered (75.46 total). We've been dining there almost once a week for the past few months spending close to 100 each time. Very disappointed and show no value to loyal customers. Never returning.“

“Visited Sunday 2/8. Everything was delicious. Great, friendly service. We got the green curry w/ chicken, pad thai w/ shrimp, steak laab, and sushi platter, plus a couple happy hour apps (5-6:30pm weeknights) and coffees to-go for Monday morning. Would order any and all dishes again. Looking forward to coming back for lunch sometime soon! Love having a sushi spot in the neighborhood.“

“We had a reservation for 7 - in the notes I specified 6 adults and a high chair. I could see our table had 7 adult seating's so I had to ask the hostess to fix that. Also specified we were there for a birthday celebration, again those notes must not make their way to the actual restaurant or they don't read them. When we checked in (we were 14 minutes early) for our reservation we were told we couldn't be seated until our actual reservation time. The restaurant had plenty of help and we didn't have our complete party with us which they knew and we were not expecting to order right away rather we just wanted to sit and relax. The food and waitress were great“

“This place has never done me wrong when I got food here. If it was just better lit inside I'd give the Atmosphere a 5. But the place being clean and professional was enough for me.
I miss getting orders here. Food was always worth the price.“

“Not sure how this place flew under the radar . Chicken Pad Se Ew was awesome. I personally enjoy broccoli instead of Chinese broccoli and had no problem with the substitution. Also ordered the Spicy Chicken Wings that hit hard with spice and flavor. I want to try it all. This is definitely going into the rotation.“
