“It was a little late to walk inside to make an order, so my wife and I had to use the drive-thru. The employee that took our order was very easy to hear over the outside speaker. Her voice was very kind and she was most certainly patient while we made up our minds on what we wanted to order. All in all, it was a very good experience. May wife and I certainly appreciated our orders and our experience here tonight. Thank you!“
“Always our go to if we are in need of something quick to eat. Friendly environment and staff. They are so sweet and greet you with a smile every time. Kid friendly environment, wheelchair accessible and if you ever need help just ask, they are always willing to lend a helping hand.“
“Never disappointed with JLBeers. Staff is friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. Burgers never disappoint. Beer selection is ok, I am not a fan of IPAs but those beers are trendy right now. I do manage to find a Porter or stout or ale to wash down the meal so not going to complain.Kid-friendliness: Under 21 not permitted, period. I have observed guests with children asked to leave. Not JLBeers fault, state law. So don’t bring your kids and then get bent because you cannot stay.“
“Delicious burgers and frozen custard. Nice that they offer gluten free burgers and gluten free buns packaged separately. If you talk to staff you can also purchase the burger buns separately, which we did as our kids enjoyed them so much!“
“Here, I will counter this a**hat/troll review below me... This has one of the better burgers in the GF area, period. The fries have always just been fine, so that is my 1 minus star for food. The service has always been good to me and I like the option to go up to the window and eat outside (not doing that in the winter though...). It is definitely an older building, but that is not on review here.Overall, one of my favorites in the GF area.“
“My family and I came in about 20 minutes before closing and everything was still on point! Food was great, service was great, we didn't feel rushed at all. Great place!!! ??? The vegetarian options were kind of limited but they still had a vegetarian sandwich that my son did not complain about.“
“Absolutely love this location. Old School DQ with all the treats you want! The crew has always been fun and fast in preparing your selected item and the building has a charm from yesteryear. We definitely go to this location over the other DQ in town even though this one doesn't have a drive-thru, it's worth it.“
“Once a week, my work comes here for dinner and drinks and every time we are greeted with the best hospitality. Amber and Savannah typically take care of us, and they are the best! The food is always delicious. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great environment to have dinner in.“
“The service and food was great! I had the bourbon salmon, broccoli and mashed potatoes. It was great! We were sat by the windows and it was a little cold! But the server and the food was on point!!Parking: The parking lot is fairly large with enough parking.Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair accessibility into the building. And handicap parking in the parking lot close to the door.“
“It’s absolutely a dive bar, but the $9 burger Iate on a Friday after a long work week is unbeatable. I’ve never had a bad meal or anything less than great service. The Spud is easily one of Grand Forks’ most reliable staples for real good finger food and a solid drink.“
