“Honestly our experience couldn't have been better. We arrived early and were offered complimentary Prosecco while we waited. A small thing, but a nice touch. Old fashioned was a 10. Food was inventive, aesthetic and cooked to perfection. Server was attentive and informed. Really nice job to all involved!”

“Say hello to Sarah (with an "H")...our new favorite waitperson at Lago Tacos in Minneapolis. We were visiting our son who recently moved into Excelsior & Grand across the street from Lago Tacos and after a long flight it was just a short walk to what is now our favorite Mexican restaurant. We had a wonderful lunch and great conversation & laughter with Sarah...she made our visit that much nicer! The Chips and Queso as an appetizer were spot on and the Spicy Grilled Chicken Tacos were cooked to perfection and very filling. We also ordered the Chop Salad with Shrimp which was amazing with perfectly prepared shrimp and great flavor. We will be visiting our son in a couple of months and will definitely be stopping into Lago Tacos for a meal. 10 out of 10 stars...thank you Sarah. See you soon. L, John & Jean”

“My husband and I came from Ohio to celebrate his birthday and we had some time to kill before attending Paisley Park for our tour. So we stopped at this establishment and the staff and the people in the area were friendly. As for the brew I'm not a beer drinker but I did try the Rosé seltzer and it was really good. Hubby and I definitely had a great experience!”

“I have been going to Cafe 12:2 for over five years at this point, and the quality never disappoints! They have a wide variety of hot, cold, and blended drinks such as mochas, lattes, frappuccinos, drip coffee, etc. There are bottled soda pop and water as well, and apart from beverages they also sell yogurt, cheese and beef sticks, candies and pastries. All of the products are reasonably priced; in the five years I've been at 12:2, there has only been a 25 cent raise in price primarily because of a switch to a higher quality coffee brand. All the staff are friendly and understanding, the layout of the Cafe is warm and aesthetically pleasing, and of course all the drinks look and taste amazing!

Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly snacks such as fruit snacks, cheese sticks, and goldfish are sold. Hot chocolate can be made less hot for the little ones.

Parking: All parking is free and a short walk from the Cafe.

Wheelchair accessibility: Along with stairs, there is an elevator guests may use.

Dietary restrictions: There are several types of milk products available, including skim milk, soy milk, coconut milk, almond milk, oat milk, and half and half.”

“I had a subway coupon it cost me $7.62 FOR my sons meal this evening for dinner. They have a clean sandwich shop off of water street in Excelsior. There are tables with chairs available at the tables. So you can eat in thier sandwich shop. Its very nice and clean. My son wanted a chicken sandwich. WITH pepper on it some. And shredded cheese on it with 2 pieces of bacon. The employee cooked it up. And when she brought it out of thier oven. It was very nice and warm. With the topping s melted
And baking the bacon. Then she put lettuce on it along with spinach. It was better than buying a McDonald's meal. And my son wanted lemon aid. So for under $10.00 dollars for one meal. It was a very good price. And they have very nice clean bathrooms. Thank you.”

“I stopped in for lunch today. Molly was my server. She was super friendly and always seemed to be wearing a smile. I ordered the Turkey BLT WITH Fries and a Mr Pibb. The fries came out hot and fresh. The bread freshly toasted. The Turkey on my BLT was tender and juicy and the bacon added the perfect hint of smoke... like a BLT should. I was very pleased I stopped in. I hear they have some great game-day specials as well. Stop by and check them out.”

“Had a wonderful experience for dinner on a very busy Dec. 23rd. Our party of 3 arrived at about 6:10 to a waiting list of approx. 6 other parties. We were told 20 minutes to wait, it was no more than 15 minutes. Service was spot-on time-wise and efficiency-wise. Food was excellent. Portions were huge. I feel it is a great place to enjoy a meal.”

“I’ve been here half a dozen times (parking is kinda difficult lately due to all the construction). I’ve brought friends here. I’ve had the best time, best coffee, and best almond croissants. Sitting outside - front or back - is always a treat. Now that my bicycle is fixed, I can come more often. Love this place!”

“Dunn Bros is a favorite and I was in the area so I stopped by this one for a hit. Based on these other reviews and the neighborhood I can tell it is in a snobby area of town that needs a reality check on their expectations on probably a lot of things. Staff was pleasant. Coffee was good. Internet worked. Plenty of space. I didn’t have the food but it looked pretty standard. Its a coffee shop.”

“Heard great things about Maynards and decided to stop in for dinner with a friend to catch up while visiting MN. We had a tasty dinner (a local beer and cheese curds for an appetizer & a firecracker shrimp wrap as an entree) and excellent service from our waitress Morgan who was friendly and attentive. Definitely want to come back during the summer to check out the outdoor patio with the lake views.”
