“Fantastic food! Really hit the soft spot in my heart for szechuan cuisine. I'd say it could be a tad spicier to be more authentic, but otherwise I enjoyed the spicy and numbing flavor throughout the dish. The dim sum is good quality, and made to order as well. Will definitely come back.“
“Had a fantastic dinner at the bar. The staff gave great recommendations on some items I hadn’t considered, and they were excellent. Great service. The staff was also very professional with a guest upset that there was automatic gratuity with his large party (it was posted, and frankly, this guy was just cheap, and it’s why restaurants have this policy). Excellent service, food, and atmosphere.Try the egg rolls and double cooked pork“
“Excellent selection of food. If you are going to try it plan to come back. You can get a great lunch/dinner just trying their apps. The szechuan dumplings are amazing. The sauce can be used on the rest of your meal. All the dumplings are amazing.“
“Dumplings and dim sums were a great hit....loved it! Totally worth the price and the customer service is the best. I can't wait to go again! Very authentic and the pig intestines were the best I've had in a long time! Very crispy and flavorful duck , too!“
“My deceased grandfather's favorite takeout. I love to go now and then for old times sake, bland but filling. Tasty if you like "American Chinese food" This is old school takeout Chinese. The stuff American servicemen back from the war made a staple for so many families from the 50s through the 80s. I'm nearly 60 and I went there with my grandfather as a child. The guy who founded it still ran it then. The food is hot and filling and the portions are big! Which is nice. The only drawbacks are NO CREDIT CARDS or electronic payment of any kind, they do take checks, but when is the last time you saw a checkbook? The other is they need an option for some more seasoning. They assume like most places that Minnesotan "Chow Mein" customers like traditional Midwestern blandness. I know they can make spicier food, but I don't know how to ask. They don't speak much English, and I'd like to find a way to say "Its wonderful, but please more seasoning in the chow mein"“
“This place is steamy! Literally. So wear layers. The hot pot is amazing! Choose your own adventure. Watch the spicy broth it can get real spicy for a Midwesterner like me. Still tasty though. Enjoyed ordering off the menu too! Large portions you could easily share. Overall a delicious experience.“
“Lao Sze Chuan makes some of the yummiest Sichuan food. Sichuan food is savory and spicy the Sichuan peppercorn makes your tongue tingling. It's something to become accustomed to because most people are use to eating HK style food and American Chinese which focuses on salty and sweet flavor profile. I enjoy the mapao tofu and sichuan boil fish. I always order these two!“
“A group of us went here for a friend’s birthday dinner. Our server was attentive and all the food was amazing! We shared a lot of different things. My favorite appetizers were the Szechuan dumplings, the cream cheese wontons, and the scallion pancakes! I also tried some lo mein which was pretty good. The chicken and broccoli was great - the chicken was very tender. Everything was really fresh and delicious. Plus they give you huge portions and the price is very reasonable! I will definitely be sure to come back here and try even more menu items!Dietary restrictions: I noticed that they had a lot of gluten free options on the menu!Parking: It’s located in a strip mall so the parking is somewhat limited.“
“Pretty good spot to grab casual Chinese fare. I recommend the Kung Pao chicken or tofu. Portions are very shareable so don't let the prices keep you from trying them out. I thoughy the Dan Dan noodles were a let down. Not enough sauce (though the sauce was quite good) and overcooked noodles (perhaps due to takeout and better ordered fresh). The scallion pancake is nice. Very thick and bready but tasty nonetheless. Great dipping sauce with that. Mongolian beef was a little watered down in flavor. Something I'd consider if in the neighborhood but not my first choice for Chinese-American.“
“Was craving sushi and Chinese, so decided to check this place out. I ordered to go and the food was still hot and crispy when I got home. The quality of the general tso’s chicken was really fresh, cream cheese wontons had lots of filling, and the fried chicken was flavorful, crunchy and juicy. Also, the sushi roll‘s rice to fish ratio was perfect! Will be back to try other dishes ?“
