We had a fantastic and memorable dinner here. I highly recommend the panko crusted Canadian walleye. Fresh and absolutely delicious!!
I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a bar. The bartender at The Nest this afternoon Aug 21st 2025, was rude, dismissive, and made it clear that customer service was not a priority. After being treated with open hostility, I chose not to leave a tip—something I never do lightly. In response, he told me to never come back. No problem—I won’t. I’d recommend others skip this place too if they expect basic courtesy or professionalism.

One of the most disappointing service experiences of my life. Have been coming to Grand Marais for over 50 years to enjoy. A lifetime of joyful visits was grossly sullied today by the service my family received at gunflint rooftop tavern. My son, who chose to quietly spend his 21st birthday with his family, was asked for ID when he and his father placed their orders. This request was honored.
