Skyport Lodge & Raven Rock Grill

This is a tough review to write- and I’ll start with the positives first. The setting is beautiful, overlooking the lake. The rate was competitive- $150/night falls right between questionable options and pricy airbnbs. We were in Room 6 in the lodge… and that’s where the issues begin.

When we arrived, our key was missing from the tackboard. We notified staff and they couldn’t locate the key but got us into our room… by picking the lock with a butter knife- not a great security look. The housekeeper had accidentally taken it home with her but still, not a good look. Room issues: Blood on the mattress underneath the fitted sheet, rusted out/broken floor heater in bathroom, paint damage on walls. And to cap it off, the sliding door to the outside’s lock was also broken.

I tried to email the business separately to let them know of these concerns rather than reviewing but got no response- another big red flag.

I stayed in the lodge. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and responsive. The bed was extremely comfortable!

I stayed here 8 nights in May of 2026. Check in was easy with me just grabbing the keys and going to my house. The home was spotlessly clean. Great space with a large fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, and lots of space for us to spread out. WiFi was fast

10/10 accommodations. The location is great, really nice to be up the hill and 10 degrees warmer than Grand Marais, but close enough to drive down for dinner.

It’s a wonderful property with lots of activities. Fishing off the dock, walking, pontoons, etc. The restaurant is amazing with good service and amazing food. I will be staying here every summer for the future.

My wife and I rented a Pontoon to explore the lake for a few hours for our wedding anniversary, and we had a blast! The self serve rental process for the boat was super smooth and easy. We followed up with drinks and a snack in the bar which were delicious, along with excellent service. A north shore gem!!

Charming family run Northwoods Lodge on Devil Track Lake. Rachelle and family always make you feel so welcome. Rooms are tastefully decorated, very clean with comfy beds. Some have kitchenettes and separate sleeping areas.
Just 10 min to town. Pontoon, SUP, and kayaks available for use. Dog and kid friendly. Their 2 Lodge dogs are always happy to see you.
Great newer dock to tie up to, fish from, or jump into the lake off of. There's a floating sauna available for booking on the dock as well.
Bar, restaurant, and rec room make for a great stay! But what I really loved was the family run friendliness and welcoming atmosphere.
I will be back!

This is a gem of the northshore. And a haven for snowmobilers! Have stayed and played here many times. Nice people and some of the latest seasonal trails. This has been my brother and my last ride of the season for last 2 years!

We just had a great late season snowmobile ride that was made perfect with the wonderful hospitality of the owner, Rachelle. We will be back hopefully soon and often. Thank you!!

The owner of the Skyport is a God sent. Pulled up with a broken leg and he personally drove us to the hospital and let us leave our snowmobiles for the night.
We’ve eaten there several times while on our rides and the food and service is wonderful.

Five star food and service. It has a giant parking lot for snowmobile trailers. They are right on the snowmobile trails. A+

They were closed but helped us out.. one guy was injured and they drove him to the hospital.. great people

We ate at the Raven Restaurant at Skyport. . My husband and I both ordered the Walleye basket with fries and coleslaw! Absolutely delicious! Fabulous service to accompany a wonderful Meal! I highly recommend.

Great food and terrific service!! Definitely recommend! Cajun chicken alfredo was delicious, walleye fish and chips also recommended!

I rented a pontoon boat for half a day. It was great, caught some fish and I appreciated the laid back atmosphere of the whole operation. I would definitely rent from them again
