I never expected to get such authentic Mexican food in Minnesota. The rice, tortillas, carnitas, chile rellenos, and carne asada were all top notch, and if they have those basics down, I trust anything to be good here.

I would highly recommend the food from La Tequila.
This was my first time coming to La Tequila. My immediate impression of the restaurant was that it didn't have the typical Mexican restaurant atmosphere. While I can appreciate that, it seemed a little "cold" and less inviting than most Mexican restaurants. The margarita we had was fairly average . That being said, the food and piña colada we had were excellent. I would say the food was better than in most Mexican restaurants I've been to. It seemed a little more fresh. The staff was pleasant and very friendly. I'll definitely be getting food here again in the future.

From the moment I walked into La Tequila, I felt welcomed and at home. As soon as I sat down, I was greeted with a basket of fresh chips and salsa, and when I asked for guacamole, it was brought to me right away—talk about great service!
I ordered the chicken quesadilla, and let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing. The flavors were rich, the chicken was perfectly cooked, and the portion size was generous. I still can’t believe I got to enjoy such a delicious meal at such a competitive price. It’s hands down better than any of the big chain fast-food restaurants.
If you’re in Grand Rapids and love supporting local restaurants, La Tequila is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!
