Staff was great but food was horrible. No taste whatsoever, so bland it all tasted the same. Couldn’t taste the difference between shredded chicken and beef. Very disappointed.
We have ordered food to go often from here. Though the food was really good, something is always missing or wrong. Tortilla shells forgotten for fajitas etc. We just dealt with it, but tonight had enough. My husband called to complain and requested a refund. Apparently, they will only give a refund if you pay cash. So, after paying for food we haven't gotten or food being wrong we get absolutely no compensation. No refund, no gift card for future orders, no replacement, nothing....read full review
Worst breakfast EVER. Where do I start? Was seated promptly and it went downhill from there. I spotted several tortilla chips on the floor in various areas. I ordered an omelet but it was eggs with items in it, not an omelet at all. Hubby had the worst biscuits and gravy in his life, not a single sausage piece, 4 tiny pathetic looking biscuits. $9.99 for maybe 2 biscuits total and some white looking sauce (defiantly not gravy) put on top. El Charro Mexican Bar and Grill is a recommended breakfast and dining spot in Hibbing, Minnesota. The service is friendly, and the food comes out quickly. One customer called the service AMAZING, with a very kind and knowledgeable server. The best breakfast experience included the eggs benedict southern, described as the best eggs benny's ever had, comparable to East Coast cuisine. Another meal, the shrimp in jalepeno creme sauce, featured huge shrimp. The nacho appetizer was very quick and very good, and the cheese enchilada was delicious and very filling. The Chimichanga's had so much chicken, it felt equal to 2 chicken breasts. The salsa was excellent, and fajitas came with a large amount of food, with beans and rice nice and warm. However, there are no signs indicating a 3.5% charge for credit card, and $1.50 for 3 extra shells is tough to swallow. Despite some minor issues, the food is very good, and customers recommend this place.
