KITCHEN CLOSES AT 7:00 P.M.
Been coming here for years when I'm in the area. Kitchen is about as home cooked Korean as you can get. That means it's pretty darn outstanding. Grocery store has a fairly large selection compared to a lot of local markets, but their prices could stand to be a little lower in comparison. Item by item, they're running about 10 to 15% higher; but you are paying for authentic Korean selection.

A great little hidden store in Columbia Heights, MN on Central Ave. This is my to-go-to place when I use to live around here, for some Asian groceries, specifically Korean groceries. There's also a little deli in the back of the store with great authentic (in my opinion) Korean food. I loved the Japchae and my first time ever trying Black Bean Paste Noodle (Jjajangmyeon) did not disappoint. I also ordered the Bibimbap but I wasn't able to try it. The guy was very friendly and he helped customers what they try to find. It has various food, items that you can get there. I definitely recommend

Dong Yang Oriental Foods & Deli is a hidden gem tucked away into the back of a quaint and clean market. The restaurant serves authentic Korean food that tastes like home cooking, with generous portions and fair prices. The short ribs are a 10/10, and the bibimbap is fantastic. There is also a fresh banchan selection including homemade kimchi, seasoned condiments, and the seasoned garlic stem is a favorite. The kitchen offers 20+ affordable, large, hot entrees from $10-$19, including spicy stir-fried pork (제육볶음), spicy BBQ pork (돼지불고기), beef and vegetable soup, rice cakes with seafood, and spicy squid. The kimbap at the register is popular but sells out fast. The grocery store is well-stocked with an excellent selection of fresh fruit, vegetables, Korean silverware and cookware, instant noodles, sauces, and interesting sweets. The staff is incredibly courteous and friendly. The food comes out fast and steaming hot, with flavors that taste like what is expected in Korea. It is a no-frills spot perfect for craving authentic Korean comfort food.
