“I've been meaning to write this review for years.My wife and I stopped here during high COVID. The lockdowns had passed, but masking was still encouraged. We were coming back from the Range and hit Hinckley looking for something local, but most every place was still closed. So we wandered a little further off the freeways and found Bear Creek Tavern.Nobody goes into a tavern expecting haute cuisine nor Michelin stars. Honestly, we'd have settled for a decent burger. Instead, we lucked into Mexican Night. My wife ordered enchiladas, and I ordered taco salad. Portions were well sized, prices were decent, quality was good, and service was friendly. I mean, really, what more do you want from road food on Friday night on a trip?If we're ever back in that neck of the woods, we'll look them up. If you're in that neck of the woods, you should look them up, too. You won't be wasting your time.”

“We had dinner at The Winds Steakhouse on 2/24/24. We had a group of 20 people to celebrate my 40th birthday. I cannot express how absolutely amazing the night was. Jody assisted with everything in advance to make sure the night we would be perfect. The communication with Jody was stellar. When the group arrived they had a room in the back all set up for us. There were party hats and glasses for the entire group. It was a huge surprise and made for the evening. Our servers Alisa and Natalie were hands down the BEST! They were both knowledgeable of the menu with multiple suggestions, and so kind and accommodating with such a large group. The service was impeccable! The food was amazing and the entire group raved about it! For the icing on the cake they brought out a cheesecake with the number 40 birthday sparklers! It was the absolute best surprise! I couldn't have been happier celebrating the perfect evening! Jody, Alisa, and Natalie THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for making my birthday incredibly special and amazing! You all went above and beyond! We will be back! THANK YOU!”

“This is a gem hidden in a small downtown area. The food is terrific! All fresh flavors, no hold-overs or dried out leftovers. Chicken enchiladas are delicious with moist juicy chicken, rice is lightly seasoned and isn't gluey, guac tastes great and the bed if lettuce under was fresh and crisp! Service is great, they really take care of you. Small but bright and clean. I highly recommend and will be returning!”

“When the crave strikes, nothing else can cure it except White Castle itself .....:)The service was spot on / the lady who took my order was very pleasant, so that's always appreciated as a customer....The cheese sliders came out very quickly / efficiently and were fresh, warm, and overall perfectly done....A++++ experience.....I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Hinckley to load up again....:)”

“Using the app has made the entire process of the drive thru much more efficient. The staff is friendly and swift.They might actually need to slow down sometimes to focus on the details of putting the double cheeseburger together. Other than that, no complaints.”

“We stopped here for brunch for the first time. I had the Monte Cristo and my wife had the roast beef sandwich. The Cristo was large and tasty although I didn't like the sweet/spicy sauce. The roast beef sandwich wasn't that great as it tasted like the gravy was burnt and/or overcooked.Marge's wild rice soup was AMAZING. It is the second best I've ever had. We should have gotten a gallon to go! ;)Our server was good but busy, so we had to wait a bit for our food, but when she had time, she did a good job of taking care of us.The atmosphere was nice and it had a great blend of functionality and creative design.The pricing was reasonable. “We used the drive-thru late night and we had quite a few items to order. Every person in the vehicle had something special that wanted and I was nervous that they wouldn't get everything right, but to our surprise everything we ordered was correct, the service was awesome, and our food was hot!! The wait in line was minimal, which was even better with very hungry people to feed and running on little sleep. I hope they continue to keep up the great service when working those later shifts!! “Waitress was very friendly and blunt which we like and appreciate. Food is well priced and great tasting. I have celiac disease and after letting her know my needs, she said no guarantees, but I felt comfortable with the fact that the buns are toasted on the opposite side of the grill and they'd do their best. I took a chance and am glad I did. I am very sensitive to gluten allergens and DID NOT GET SICK. This is a HUGE deal for me and my family. Thank you so much!”

“We loved this hidden gem. We were on the way home from a road trip and got off at a random exit to try and find a new place to eat. We stopped and they served us a nice grilled cheese, bacon, onions, ham sandwich with chips and a cold beer. The atmosphere, was kid friendly with full bar and tables. It was awesome and cant wait to go back to try their breakfast next. And they have summer events.”
