Great selection. Nice staff. Good outdoor seating. Only downside is it seems there is no bathroom on site.

Lake Elmo Creamery is a cute little shop in downtown Lake Elmo with a nice selection of flavors. The ice cream is delicious and generous servings. The staff is very friendly, happy, joyful, fun, patient, and kind. They make waffle cones homemade right behind the counter. Specific flavors mentioned include black cherry ice cream, coconut explosion, orange twister, and vanilla with a chocolate ball at the bottom. They also sell licorice ice cream in pints. The creamery has a great dedication to the Lake Elmo community and participates in local events. There is no inside seating but plenty of outdoor seating, though some chairs had spills and picnic table options were limited. It is shared seating with a pizza place. Suggestions include adding a kid size, complimentary water instead of plastic bottles for purchase, public restrooms, and more kid-friendly seating like a grassy area with shade. Overall, it is a fun experience with happy staff and quick scoops.
