“While the food was good, service needs improvement. I had the Potato Skins which were very good. My husband had the Ruben. He asked for fries and got waffle fries. Was never offered seasoned sour cream, while my cousin ordered fries, got crinkle cut fries and was offered seasoned sour cream. My husband said the Ruben was good but could have used a little more dressing. Not once were our water glasses refilled or was the offer made to have them refilled.“

“Stopped in at Neisen's last Wednesday night to check out and scout the talent on their karaoke night. Excellent joint, large and spacious. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Very affordable drink and food prices.

Ordered a club sandwich with fries and it was absolutely delicious. Sandwich was toasted just right and lots of meat and veggie in between the perfectly toasted bread. Asked to have the french fries made crispy and they totally met the mark, golden brown crispy and not burnt. Tons and tons of parking.

“ordered breakfast a few weeks ago on a Sunday after church. DO NOT eat breakfast there on a Sunday, ever!! They are very under-staffed !!!! Food FINALLY came after over an hour wait, but was cold, bacon under-cooked, toast cold and hard, items missing. No mgmt apologies!! > we should have walked out after the hour instead of putting up with rude mgmt/wait staff! > I asked Mgr to check and he said "it'll probably be 'another hour' . 😢 someone should buy manager a new Vikings' jersey - he's still wearing a #19 Adam Thoele jersey, who's now with Carolina ! LOL Manager was too busy smoozing with patrons instead of helping understaffed waitress! 😢“

“Great first time experience & delicious food! My kids & I were searching for a place to have a late dinner and ended up at The Tavern. We were quickly greeted & seated, our waiter was super attentive to us, and the food was amazing! We had the walleye, juicy lucy and (grilled) chicken pasta Alfredo. Will definitely go back for a date night to try some cocktails with my husband.“

“A local Rochester, MN restaurant chain -now branching out to a new location- Newt’s (Apple Valley) brings everything we love about the Rochester locations (GREAT burgers, beers, and unlimited popcorn!) to our little corner of the Metro. “Recommend this Friday night fish fry. Plenty of seating altho the kitchen had a hard time keeping up. The food was hot, breading on the fish was crisp and the flaky white fish inside was delish. Onion rings were great as were the waffle fries, worth the upcharge altho the regular fries looked fine. Server took our orders as quickly as they could on a busy Friday night. It took about 30 minutes from order to plates delivered but we were warned that it might take awhile. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, checking on us frequently. We will be back!“

“We visited the Crooked Pint Ale House for dinner on a Saturday around 7:30pm and it was excellent and here is why. They didn’t have a hamburger with no cheese on the menu. I asked our server and she said “sure they’ll make it for you”. My husband order chicken strips and he said that they were great, just like a certain “steak road house” serves. We also had onion rings and cocktails. If I picked one thing to recommend it would be the onion rings. They are the real McCoy BATTERED, not the frozen breaded kind. If you want to enjoy a cocktail this is your place! The bartenders really know what they’re doing. The atmosphere is rustic and there is music playing in the background. It is easy to have a conversation without having to yell. I would recommend the Crooked Pint Ale House for an excellent casual dinning experience.
They have pull tabs and popcorn to snack on while you are waiting. There is also BINGO on Thursday nights.“
