“I don't know why I didn't take a photo of the pho but this place has an eclectic menu that is awesome.Took my wife and kids for Mother's Day and we had the place to myself. Sad that it was slow for business but awesome that we went there. Have the egg roll, the pho, and the loaded fries.I really really am impressed with it.“

“This place is great! We don't have anything like this where I live. I was taken here with family in the area and can't wait to go back. The food is great and the people are great!We had a few beers and just some snack type food before we met up with other people.I had never done pull tabs before, so that was kind of cool even though I didn't win anything. They had some type of raffle for meat going on. Would have been cool to check out more if we stayed longer.Really down to earth homey type place though.“

“Food is really good. We had their fish fry. The fish and sides were really good. The tarter was really bland. So, nothing to really complain about. The service was fantastic and they were beyond busy. For even came out in a short time. They do take reservations and I highly recommend it. Very popular place with great people.“
“We had dinner at Philander's last night and it was very good. We both had the 2 piece Codfish dinners with boiled red potatoes. I had the fish chowder and my wife had a dinner salad, both very good. Out server was Nancy and she did a wonderful job of taking care of us. A very large crowd so it was a bit on the loud side. But when you have good food and service you should mind putting up with a little noise. You can bet we will be back there very soon.“
“I wasn't expecting much more than a typical pub night at Muddy Waters just based on my one prior summer patio happy hour experience, but this place surprised me tonight! We went with another couple for dinner on a weekend, and felt the food quality was better than other restaurants known for fine dining. We sat at the oversized corner table in the bar side, which was casual and cozy. Our server was engaging and always there at the right moment. Simply stated, the food was really, really good! My husband had the bone-in ribeye with au gratin potatoes. OMG those potatoes! Steak was cooked perfectly. I had the scallops and can't say enough about the nice char, and buttery sauce. The texture and flavor... some of the best scallops I've had! Not bitter. Soft and melted in my mouth with crunchy bacon on top. The broccolini and cole slaw sides were tasty as well, nicely seasoned. The parm crusted walleye was also a hit. We tried 2 desserts and couldn't pick a fav between the vanilla cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake. I'm a big fan!!“
“Food was really good. I had bourbon salmon with green beans. Our party also had walleye sandwich and burger. My husband brought home half of his burger and tots. Our son ate it the next day was impressed how good it was. We topped off dinner with the largest piece of carrot cake I have ever seen at a restaurant. Our waitress was AWESOME! She tended to every need and quickly. It was dinner time in a Friday night...so quite impressive. I would definitely recommend this place. I don't say that very much. No pictures as we were too busy chatting and eating.“

“Wonderful Friday fish fry. Fish was cooked in beer batter and served hot and fresh. Tasty sides and outstanding dessert. Great value and service was quick, very quick, and the entire waitstaff seemed to be enjoying the entire experience. Very pleasant experience. We'll be back. Thanks“
“The burger was way overcooked but still delicious because of how much flavor was packed in the rest of it. The bartender waited until my mouth was full before asking how the food was. She didn't try to refill my drink until I asked for my check. She didn't say a word to me other than ask for my order, so the atmosphere was bland. Also, it was very expensive at over $25 for a burger, tots, and 1 alcoholic beverage.“
