“Headed to the Brookside bar and Grill with my sister and my brother-in-law. It is warm and cozy inside this pub. Beer was delicious with many choices, the food was also very good, and our server was Rosie, who was one of the owners. The atmosphere was very warm with two TVs above the bar, and a very large outdoor area that is open during the summer with live music. It was great conversation between the three of us as we ate our early dinner and enjoyed our beers. There is definitely a plan to come back during the summer months and enjoy the outdoor music and the large patio and back. If you're ever visiting along the St. Croix river between Minnesota and Wisconsin, I suggested you visit this beautiful bar and grill and enjoy a good meal. Say 'Hi' to Rosie for me!”
“First time in Stillwater and stumbled upon this great restaurant! The food was great, the drinks amazing and service top notch! (Emanuela was out serving and she was great!). We had the Black & Blue Mac n cheese and would highly recommend! BUT the Smokey old fashioned!! Still dreaming about it! Get it, you will not regret it!”
“Went for breakfast on March 9th, the atmosphere was great, and the food was AMAZING and tasted so, so good. Overall, we were so happy and satisfied with the more than happy to give this place high reviews. The only negative side to this story was that the waitress who served us did not seem happy that we chose to eat there. She barely greeted us and even asked about the specials. She simply pointed to the whiteboard and told us they were listed on the board and then walked away. When taking out order, she seemed to have an attitude and acted like she did not want to be there. Not one did she come by to check if we needed a refill of coffee or how the meal was. In fact, she did not bother to come by until we flagged down another waitress to get our coffee refill. She did not thank us when we paid for our meal despite getting a $25 tip.Despite all this we would recommend this restaurant for a great atmosphere and wonderful food. We do plan to give this place a second chance on our next trip back.”
“Our server was perfectly attentive without being overwhelming! Great food. Good drinks. An enjoyable Sunday night for casual dinner and drinks with a friend. The cheese curds are literally the best I've ever had outside of the State Fair.”
“I love the pizza from here! Tastes delicious!! However, it is mainly a take-out establishment. They do have seasonal outdoor seating.Parking: Very limited parking in front of establishment. Otherwise, you would need to pay in a pay lot and walk over.Wheelchair accessibility: It is completely wheelchair accessible. However, entering and exiting the establishment may be tight if it is busy.”
“It's not a huge place but they have good choices. The pizza was almost fantastic - the edges were super burnt but I did love the Boston style thickness and that the sauce is "dollop" style (like sour cream on a taco) I'm not a huge sauce fan so being able to just scoop it off was great. Flavor was awesome. Drinks were ok. We'd go back.”
“I can't say enough about this place. We came here for my birthday dinner on the recommendation of a relative. I made a reservation and we were seated promptly at a cute window table. Our server made great wine recommendations, based on what we planned to order for dinner and her personal favorites. She took into account any budgetary requirements. The wine was absolutely delightful. We ordered charcuterie, which was just the right amount without taking away our appetite for dinner. The pasta dishes are incredible. Our favorite was the orecchiette which had a Bolognese sauce. The desserts were exactly the right size that we could each order our own and were so delicious. We can't wait to come back!”
“I had a Chocolate Malt from Leo's today. I think it was the best chocolate malt I have ever had, and I have had a lot of them. I honestly don't know what was different about it, but it was amazing. I can't wait to go back and have another one. I wish they had a really big one.”
“Pizza is delicious, spaghetti too. Antipasta salad is a nice addition to your order. Cheesey bread needs to be consumned as well. Atmosphere takes me back to the early 90's. Not many spots to dine inside, so order out or get there early.Parking: Nestled between the bank and liquor store. Plenty of parking. Look for the Dala Horse in the corner of the lot- you've found the right place.”
“As an artist this place is so cool to visit. Feels like an installation exhibit experience. The art is so unique. The beers are also delicious and unique to other things you can get in the larger area. I am obsessed with the spicy margarita pickle beer. I hope they put it on the permanent menu because I cant get enough. But anything you order here you can count on it being very flavorful and worth while!”
“Lovely lil lady in front of house, definitely found a new local favorite. Singapore Mai fun was amazing, tho, I like spicy, so next time I'll have em add a bit more. Perfect amount of vegetables to meat to nood! Highly recommend!Parking: Not the best for parking, but the fact I hit five stars, on every thing else. It's worth it.”
“The ham & Swiss breakfast sandwich was homemade & tasted great. Best espresso you'll come across & I've had a lot of espresso. Nice seating area & there's a book shop. The owner Tim is the nicest guy!”
“I’m giving them 5 stars because Mick was amazing the woman that came in to relieve him on Sunday was EXTREMELY rude she was rude to him and the customers!’I work in the business and if I Ever treated a co worker or customer the way she did , I wouldn’t have a job!! She needs to work on her attitude in a major way! You don’t degrade. Your. Coworker in front of customers! Not Cool!!!We left when. She. Came on”
“Sam was a great waitress, she really did a excellent job. We had 7 in town for Easter weekend. Many had the broasted chicken special, which was very good. We will definitely be back sometime.”
“You HAVE to try the rosemary and sea salt fries! Also recommend the Lolo Burger and their Old Fashioned.Look forward to returning anytime we're in Stillwater.”
“Cute cafe. I had dinner here before and it was not my favorite, but the breakfast today was really good. Something that bothered me today was that one of the staff, a male cashier, purposely photo bombed multiple photos, that another (very nice female busser) was taking of my partner and I. It was unprofessional. Thankfully the girl taking the photos continued to take multiple shots and by the last couple photos, he had left.”
“I recently had the London Fog tea at Wheelhouse and it was perfection! Black tea with lavender and honey, topped off with milk froth, I believe. If you are a tea drinker I highly recommend!”
“I've been to the Grillium now a few times since my last review and each time the food was consistently good, hot, and flavorful. My favorites was the beef gyro. It's something I can't make at home, so it was a real treat. The BLAT - with the addition of an avocado - was amazing! The sandwich was a generous portion - enough for dinner and lunch the next day.”
“I love the Goodery so much! It’s a pure treasure to have fresh juice and healthy options right downtown. These juices have really helped me lead the healthy lifestyle that I want to - and give me energy to enjoy my day! The owners Melissa and Emily are amazing and talented local Women entrepreneurs, and I appreciate what they have done for our community. Highly recommend the Goodery!”
“Great vibe, great food, and friendly staff.Parking: There are free lots and street spaces nearby the restaurant, but the restaurant does not have its own parking lot.”
“Been here a few times and it never fails to be a great experience. They've got great liquor, friendly bartenders, and a great deal on tasting flights. They've got some of the best wine-barrel aged whiskey I've ever tried. It's tucked behind Stillwater Proper so can be harder to find but I think it's 100x better than the restaurant itself. Cozy, 10-seat tasting room with some cool copper stills hanging around. I try to make the trip when I can to grab some conversation and whatever new booze they've got on tap.”
“What a great place for breakfast big portions good prices large menu.brother had biscuits and gravy said it was excellent, great service and coffee, just such a unique place you don't find restaurants like this in ”
“Hooligans consistently produces the best tasting pizza in the area. We either pick up at window or eat in at Ken’s. Real people with great food.Kid-friendliness: Kids can play pool, the vintage bowling game, or bonus hole. Good people from the country work and eat /drink here.Parking: Plenty of room”
“I love the Harbor bar! They're handicap accessible and they play Samuel L. Jackson movies from open to close.Friendly bartenders.Smoking hot regulars.Great tap selections and holy cow can they make a mean Espresso Martini!”
“We absolutely loved this place and the authenticity of everything! The food was excellent, the service was exceptional, and the live accordion player was so much fun!”
“Decided to finally try this place. I was not disappointed! The artichoke dip is cheesy and creamy. The burger is full of flavor in every bite. My ma loved the fried walleye and chips. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They didn't rush us and was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We will definitely be back!”
“What Brian and Harmony have created downtown is special. River Siren is a place for all. My kids enjoy coming with and playing cards, skeech or bubble hockey. It’s my favorite patio on the water downtown. The staff are incredibly friendly. The entertainment is talented and fun. The Porter, Stout & WC IPA’s are my personal favorites.”
“Matchstick has become my "go-to" place whenever friends or family come to visit (or if I just want an amazing meal). Their menu is truly impressive. It has become hard to choose a favorite dish because I have truly enjoyed everything I have tried so far. The service is really out of this world awesome. Their menu has something for everyone so you really can't go wrong if you are trying to impress someone and make them happy. Matchstick is really special!!!”
“What a hidden gem!! This spot is two for one . . Surf Shop ambiance plus St. Croix Coffee Roasters! Take a road trip to Marine on St. Croix for breakfast or lunch, adorable gift shopping with everything you can imagine and fresh roasted coffee on the spot! The staff is friendly and owner David does all the cooking on a panini grill and convection oven. Have a mimosa, too. My omelette was delicious with spinach and cheese plus bacon on top or walnuts!! Check out the pictures. They also have live music on certain nights. A real treat . .”
