So I've ordered from here for years but idk what's been happening. This is chow mein noodles, except they put no noodles in it and it's almost completely sauce and drowning everything else. This is the 3rd time they've done this and it's now to the point I tell people not to go. Idk what the issue is that I can't get chow mein or half my orders not being correct when taking to go. Idk what's happened here but just don't bother anymore. Wanted a refund and instead they gave me...read full review
Great food and friendly staff. Loved meeting the owner Sarah!
Ordered a beer, reminded waitress 3 separate times over 40 minutes, she was too young to get it. Appetizers came out (overcooked), then our meals, still no beer. Luckily, I had ordered a water too. They must not believe in ice, had to ask for a cup of ice, got that. My meal should be renamed to celery with brown sauce, a couple pieces of chicken and 4 shrimp total. Hunan Lion Restaurant offers a mixed dining experience with excellent food. Dishes like yellow curry and red curry chicken have received high praise, while some orders occasionally fall short in quality and portion sizes. The environment can be loud, especially when the restaurant is busy, due to the lack of sound-absorbing materials and a blender used by servers. Despite these challenges, the Pina Colada Shrimp with fried rice is a standout dish. Customers have noted that the service is friendly, with the owner, Sara, walking the dining room to ensure everyone enjoys their meal. Many find the Sesame Chicken delicious, highlighting its less sugary, more vinegary flavor. The staff is noted for their wonderful service and their ability to remember customers’ favorite dishes. Additionally, the back parking lot has recently been updated, making it more convenient. While takeout meals are consistently loved, customers should plan for longer wait times during peak hours. With improvements in quality control and noise reduction, Hunan Lion Restaurant has the potential to provide a consistently enjoyable dining experience.
