House of Kirin Chinese Restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu features a range of dishes, including dimsum, from the Asian menu, and American options. Reviewers praise the delicious food, with highlights including the eggplant with salted fish, Hong Kong-style lobster, and Yangzhou Fried Rice. The Cheung Fun rolls are also a standout, with a soft and silky rice noodle texture and flavorful BBQ pork. While some dishes can be pricey, the family-style service means that diners receive a generous amount of food. The restaurant is in the old Lemon Grass space next to the Golden Lion oriental grocery in Brooklyn Park. Menus are interesting, with an "American" menu and a "Chinese" menu full of unique dishes. Saturday and Sunday they serve Dim Sum with a checkoff menu. The food is excellent, and the ambiance is comfortable and tidy. Service is hospitable and kind, though some find it not particularly attentive. The dinner arrives promptly and is served hot. Some dishes have too much sauce, but the flavors are strong. Overall, House of Kirin offers authentic Chinese cuisine with a warm and inviting atmosphere.
