Delicious Lunch at Meseret Ethiopia Restaurant!
I stopped by for lunch with my friend, and we had the special Kitfo with a side of cabbage and cheese, served with Kocho — and it was amazing! The Kitfo was perfectly seasoned and incredibly fresh, and the Kocho was soft and authentically prepared. The service was very friendly, and the traditional atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable

The server said that the injera is partly wheat and not all teff. That indicates a lower quality and customers should be told without asking. I am sensitive to wheat, not just gluten. Good veggie plate. The rest of the options were all beef. We were told that no seafood dishes were available. We didn't ask for plastic straws, but the server brought them. The take home boxes are plastic. The restaurant should change that, given the world’s plastic problem.

Really loved the food here. I got the Gored Gored and I loved it. It was really spicy, but it was still great. Like that they gave you goat cheese to cool you down as you ate it. Apparently I got told by a guy at the restaurant that I chose the spiciest thing on the menu, but anyways, it was still great and I loved it. The place is also really convenient to get to, both by bike and by transit, as this place is right along the 38th street bike lanes and the minnehaha avenue bike lanes, and it is right along both the Route 7 and Route 38 buses

Just ordered on uber eats and got my order refunded because they put stale injera, some of the food was straight up gray, it was all ice cold and they added some sort of white wet injera that looked like it was covered in fish in my veggie combo. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt but the stale injera mixed with fresh injera just made it awful.

I don’t know if my photos do this justice because I don’t have smell-a-vision. I loved everything about this place. I was a bit nervous that my take out was a quadruple order because of packaging - turns out they just care about presentation and making sure your food is separate, neat and palatable. We ordered the meat/ veggie combo for two people- it’s way more than enough and for an affordable price. Great little Habesha eatery.

Excellent and authentic! The Dorowat was full of flavor as was the beef ribs, we got them spicy. Reminds me of my favorite Ethiopian place in Seattle. A must go!

Great laid back Ethiopian restaurant. Looks like you are in Ethiopia 🇪🇹 the smells are like you dropped in Addis Ababa the
Capital of Ethiopia and somehow landed here hungry to eat. I was debating between the Doro or Beef Wot and got thd beef. It was great to taste that rich stew of cardamom cinnamon and spices. You could taste the beef, onion, fresh ginger, garlic, berbere (spicy) and butter. It was great with the butter and dipping the injera bread. The ginger tea was good too because it was so cold out. There is another Ethiopian restaurant across the street. Order one thing of the menu here and go across the street and try something different too. I think this one is more authentic. There were Ethiopian guys drinking coffee here for what it looked like several hours. The other one looked more catering to American people. I went where the Africans go 🤣😆😝

Me and my daughter came here + had a wonderful experience. Customer service was excellent. The food was fantastic. Honestly the best cup of coffee I've ever had in my entire life. I may not be Ethiopian but I know good food and good people and this place has both!!
