Pho Tau Bay offers the freshest pho on the south side, with food that comes out incredibly fast. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and is kid-friendly and wheelchair accessible, with ample non-paid parking. The staff is kind and attentive, and there are many vegetarian and vegan options available.
The restaurant is an authentic, family-run business that has been around for 30 years. The owner, their family, and their 93-year-old mother are still making great food. The soup is hearty, and the noodles are not overcooked. There is a good amount of meat in the pho, and the egg rolls are delicious, with a rice paper crust that is bubbling with crunch.
The pho is great, and the combination rice platters are also a must-try, reminiscent of the dishes an Auntie would make in Vietnam. This is not an elegant dining environment, but it offers authentic Vietnamese cuisine at an affordable price.
