“Parents just moved to this neighborhood 9 mos ago and we were visiting from Los Angeles over the Holiday Wkn in Dec. We were eating way too much heavy foods that week and needed some medicine. Some PHO 🍜 😌

We loved: the rare steak & brisket pho, eggrolls/springrolls, (saw chicken wings delivered to a table that 👀 delicious-we didn’t order since we had a lot of food already)
Service, atmosphere was excellent and feels like you’re eating in a family home.

Our only critique is that the THAI TEA needs to have less milk and more tea. The more orange the better! 🙏🏾🙌🏾TYSM!- we will back again for our next visit to MN!“

“Incredibly friendly staff, so gracious to our large party. Food was fresh, appetizers were hot and tasty, vegetables were crisp and delicious, and the Szechuan soup base was approachable spicy- they didn't hold back on the numbing spice, thankfully. A wonderful place to go for a hotpot meal with a staff that clearly cares about serving top-quality meals.“

“My party was all from out of town/state, and none of us had eaten at this establishment before tonight. I don't think making reservations is necessary, but we did call ahead of time to make one. Because of this, they had our phone number. With the terrible weather, they called us to check if we were still coming. They stayed open just for us, otherwise they would've closed the restaurant early.

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, and gave us good explanations to our questions about different menu items. The fried rice was just okay, but the pho, banh mi, rice vermicelli bowls, and the grilled pork chop broken rice platter were all phenomenal. Their fish sauce is the best I've had at any Vietnamese restaurant. The Vietnamese egg rolls were good. Our dishes were fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented.

We hope to return when we visit Minneapolis again, and we will definitely be recommending this restaurant to our friends and family in the area!!“

“This is the first time my wife and I have visited Saigon Uptown, and we were extremely impressed. They have amazing food that is served and prepared by wonderfully friendly people. This place is a gem for sure, it's one of my favorites.. the cream cheese wontons are some of the best around town. The lighting is soft, it's usually occupied but when it's not it's definitely a vibe and the staff here is extremely hospitable and kind. “Trung was very easy to work with for our event where we had Pham's Rice Bowl cater. It was easy to communicate and order the dishes, which were very delicious. The cheese wontons were a hit for our group. We had dietary restrictions for certain dishes and Trung was very accommodating, as well. Great affordable caterer!“

“I’ve been craving bún bò huế for a while but was hesitant to try it just anywhere. After hearing that Tay Ho serves some of the best in the Twin Cities, I finally decided to check it out and wow, it did not disappoint!

The broth came out piping hot, rich, and full of flavor. It was loaded with generous chunks of brisket and a pork hock that soaked up all that goodness perfectly. The meat was tender and paired so well with the noodles and herbs.

The lady who served my friend and I was kind and attentive, always refilling our water and checking in on us without being overbearing.

We also ordered egg rolls and spring rolls on the side. The egg rolls were crispy and flavorful, but the spring rolls weren’t really my favorite. The pork had a slightly funky taste.

The restaurant itself is cozy with tables close together, so you might catch snippets of nearby conversations. Parking can be a little tight too, but it’s manageable.

Overall, the food and service here totally won me over. I’ll definitely be back for their bún bò huế and to try more items from the menu next time!“
