“If anyone would like a good restaurant to eat at I would suggest going to the North Pole restaurant in Newport Minnesota. The staff are nice and when you ask them for something they will get it for you right away.”

From the perfectly cooked fish and juicy chicken to a fresh variety of nine different salads and a dessert table that felt like a dream—everything was incredible. But the true star? The prime rib. And yes, I got the coveted end slice—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The service was phenomenal—warm, friendly, and attentive from start to finish. What made it even more special? The owner's grandson was there, helping out and greeting guests with genuine kindness. It’s clear that Tinucci’s is more than a restaurant—it’s a place built on family tradition, pride, and community. This family-owned gem has been serving Minnesotans for over 70 years, and you can feel that legacy in every detail—from the food to the service to the atmosphere. I never would’ve discovered this hidden treasure if I hadn’t followed the Hidden Places in MN page, and I’m so glad I took the chance to venture out. If you haven’t been to Tinucci’s—go. “We came in on the 19th of October for my son's birthday with a limo full of people and we had the best time we are all dressed up in costumes and they had had a costume contest the night was just so much fun you really had a good time thank you opinion”

“Such a great convenient location, the young lady working the close on September 28th was such a delight. Shes greated us at the door and it was right before closing but she was so happy to help us find our online order, she even commented on how delicious it looked. Its definitely the best service ive had in awhile at a subway, especially right before closing. I just wish I had gotten her name. Food was very well prepared. Location was well kept up”

“Hyacinth is a keeper. Creative food, well prepared, small but extremely well chosen wines. Portions were large, a bit too large in my view. Hyacinth is one of the few restaurants in the post Covid dining world that is daring to show us how innovative dining can be done.”

“I drove by this hidden gem weeks ago and finally was able to stop in for lunch today. I gotta say that this is some of the best tasting food I have experienced in Minnesota since returning home. I tried the Picadillo meal which was perfectly seasoned and not over salted like some places do. The rice was a perfect consistency and a freshy made salsa added a little kick to the meal. The customer service was top notch and I will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items. A+++”

“We recently got married (October 2024) and Lake Elmo Inn catererd our wedding. It was absolutely AMAZING! We had the prime rib carving station and the walleye as well as the duck soup and salad. Our guests are still talking about the food. We decided to upgrade to the "LEI Experience" which means each of your guests get a warm hand towel, an intermezzo sorbet, and a chocolate covered strawberry!!! We were over the moon with the service on the night of the wedding and all our communication with LEI throughout the process. Special shoutout to Kayla G. who was the most patient, professional, and kind event manager! She answered every single one of my (many) questions and she did so with a smile! On the night of the wedding, we were SO impressed with how fast the servers were able to get to each of our guest tables and keep the flow going. It was seamless, seriously. We cannot recommend Lake Elmo Inn Catering enough. They've total pro's and just know that you'll be in good hands. “We were here for dinner over the weekend and everything about this place was phenomenal we tried multiple things off of the to share or not portion of the menu and loved every bit of it. The whole grilled fish our waitress mentioned rotates depending on what is available fresh and it was cooked to Perfection and probably our favorite thing all weekend. The cocktail menu is unique and everything that we had the opportunity to try was delicious I highly recommend doing the cocktail flight to anybody who doesn't have a favorite spirit. Staff was incredibly friendly and knew what they were talking about if you had questions. To those looking at going here reservations are a must!!!! Great atmosphere as well”

“Accidentally arrived at Brunson's for lunch because the place down the road where we were supposed to go was closed. Best service I've had anywhere in America since before covid. Food was excellent, made from scratch, and doubt anyone could go wrong on the menu. Highly recommend.”

“Two linked reasons to visit: the store is exceptionally complete, with a wonderful meat cutting department!
The cafe has the most diverse and authentic Mexican food I have found in the Twin Cities. A walk-up ordering kiosk has replaced the former cafeteria style line. It takes abit of effort to master all the options. The checkout clerk can help. A lovely deli section is close to the cafe seating, allowing you to select some take home things while your food is cooked. Much recommended for any of their offerings!”

“We have been frequent visitors of both LBC & IGBC since the beginning and tonight was hands down the best experience we have ever had. The food/atmosphere/drinks were great as always, but what put it over the top tonight at IGBC was our server- Caygen. She welcomed us and our 3 kids and had such an amazing attitude. She was friendly, cognizant of getting the kids drinks and then food in quickly and checked in frequently. We ordered a fruit cup for our one year old and she took the time to cut it up to make sure we didn’t have to and that it was ready for him to eat. This is something that we have never experienced and we were touched by the gesture. We will be back and hope to have her again!”
