My husband and I snuck away to Nisswa for an anniversary celebration. The weather was gross (sleet and slush) so we were looking for a nice coffee shop to hunker down to read for a while.
The Courtyard ended up being the perfect spot!
The songbird bagel was delicious (that mustard, WOW) and the iced Miel was to die for. We each ordered a second one for the road!
The service was top notch. The cashier was friendly, and the owner checked on us regularly, striking up a conversation about our weekend away. He even swung around again and gave us 2 cookies for the road - I can’t make this stuff up.
We will absolutely be back :)“

“It was my first time there & it's the most spacious coffee shop I've been in. Warm & inviting, plenty of places to enjoy your coffee & pastries. Staff was very helpful & friendly. Their blended coffee was the best! I'll definitely be back.
Parking: Lots of parking options.
Kid-friendliness: Books & games for kids. Lots of space and seating.

“Wow!! This place is so cute, such a fun selection of ice cream, treats, coffee etc. The old school candy, the candy cigarettes on the wall, creme savers, slime lickers w the roller ball (for those youtube obsessed kids lol). Just an all around great place. We will go back many times. The owner has a good sense of humor, and is super kind! One of our kiddos walked to the shopping area with their ice cream, and he kindly asked them to stay in the eating area. No problem at all! So happy to have something like this in the BLA! Thank you!!!“
“Good prices for ice cream and treats, but coffee drinks are a bit spendy. They could add a kids cone, but the server was kind enough to put part of the enormous double scoop in a cup.“
