Saturday morning, Kat and I wandered up to Northfield, MN to catch their Farmers Market and enjoy brunch at a local tradition - The Ole Store Restaurant. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood near the campus of St. Olaf College, the restaurant was once a grocery store. They offer great atmosphere, friendly service, and an enticing, quirky menu. Dinner was wonderful! Staff and service was amazing and delightful, food was delicious! The homemade pie topped it off 🙂 Atmosphere was the definition of ‘hygge’. Highly recommend!

Located in an old, historic building at the base of the gorgeous St. Olaf College campus, Ole Store Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with a unique menu that features good food and lovely food. The friendly staff ensures a pleasant visit, and the restaurant is a great choice for a delicious meal and amazing service. Guests enjoy the accommodating service and tasty food, making it a place worth visiting again. They offer excellent breakfasts, brunches, lunches, and dinners. Guests especially enjoy the smorgasbord shareable appetizer, walleye fisk fry, wild rice soup, Swedish meatballs, and yummy-sounding desserts. The Bodega breakfast sandwich is a must, and the Sven Burger with fries and Ole sauce is a favorite. Cheese curds and soft pretzels are also highly recommended. While brunch can be a bit crowded and some menu items may run out fast, their breakfast options come highly recommended. Trivia Tuesdays and date nights are amazing. It is noted that they do not have a kids menu during brunch hours.
