“Very cool spot! Had great reviews so stopped in for dinner with the family. We had the cheesy bread with marinara which was good. We also ordered the grilled vegetables appetizer that we enjoyed.

Then my wife and daughter ordered a pizza with tomatoes, feta cheese, harissa and fennel sausage which they really enjoyed. My son is a basic pizza kid so we split a pepperoni pizza which we also enjoyed. We all liked the coal fired approach which reminded us of some of the places we enjoyed when we lived in CT (New Haven).

Service is going to get its own section here in the write up because it was exceptional! We had an Asian guy (apologies I can't recall his name) who took care of us who was fantastic! Positive attitude, super upbeat and friendly. Very helpful with menu suggestions and beer suggestions as well. Very attentive, refills were timely, never had any long stretches where he disappeared (and they were PACKED). Really stayed on top of everything and provided a great experience overall.

He explained everything in depth and provided recommendation based on our interest. He inquired about our dietary restrictions as well which made his recommendations even more personable. I ordered the sweet potatoe korokke, maitake karaage and the mentaiko lumache. My partner ordered the pork gyoza and the squid ink peppardelle. Everything we ordered arrived prompt and was absolutely phenomenal! The sweet potatoe korokke and the maitake karaage was my favorite due to the flavour, presentation as well as the texture. I enjoy crunchy yet flavourful dishes. I also LOVED the mentaiko lumache, it was very creamy and light. I would absolutely return as this is one of my favorite restaurants. “The main thing was, the pizza was amazing! The other thing I noticed was the owner of that location was there, and he was clearly training new employees. His style of training on the job was enjoyable to watch! If I was a young employee on a new job, I would want him to train me! He was so kind in the way he taught how to do certain things…and I have witnessed other managers at other business berate their employees or correct them in a very mean way. This manager was so nice and encouraging , it was so nice to witness!“

“I always take the kids for the buffet. Salad is fresh, and pizza always comes out hot a fresh, and tasty. Wish they had more then one type of soup to have. Lately the chicken wings were a little dry from sitting to long after we arrived to the restaurant.
