“We had dinner at the Commander last night. We were a little hesitant because of a spate of not very good reviews but, wound up with a really good experience. Our server, Heather, was quite pleasant, and very attentive. The food and drinks were really good and served promptly. The prime rib was a healthy portion and very good. The $25 price was well worth it. Reviews can be very interesting. The only thing I can say is that if the spotty reviews were earned, and I have no basis for not believing other reviewers, then just maybe management learned from them. Our experience was very good and I wouldn't hesitate to go back“

“Be careful what you order. We saw a picture online of wonderful looking fish and French fries. We ordered fish. I asked what kind of fish it was - pollack. Our fish looked nothing like the picture. The batter was hard and thick. Inside was a sliver of fish. After we ate, I found the picture online and asked the waitress what it was - Fish (cod) and Chips. We got the Fish Fry. one would think that after I asked about the type of fish, we would have been told about the choices. We are visiting the area, so we choose our restaurants carefully. We were highly disappointed.“

“My family and myself have been going to the commander for many years. Suzi is our favorite waitress, and always remembers us. We usually come in a large party, and she handles us all with a smile. Very efficient. The food is also quite good. Service is quick and our orders are always accurate.“
