We have only eaten at Merlin’s twice. We live about 45 minutes away.
The food was good. We have not tried everything, obviously!
I just noticed it needed some big time rehabbing. It also was not so clean in the eating areas, and the bathroom. It has been since early summer since we have been there. Maybe it has changed.
We liked the friendly staff, and good service.
They seemed low on staff? None of this will keep us from going again.

Merlin's Family Restaurant offers good food with some hits and misses on the menu. Customers enjoy the biscuits and gravy, and the coffee is excellent. The service is generally friendly and attentive, making guests feel welcomed. The restaurant is known for the "Big Stack" pancakes and has options for lunch if breakfast isn't desired. The dining space is on one level with no steps, making it accessible for everyone, including those with special needs children. Recent visitors praised the delicious omelette with sun-dried tomatoes and hollandaise, and the Florentine omelet, both served with pancakes or other sides. Prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is cozy, with a lot of regular customers indicating it’s a local favorite. Parking is usually good, though some potholes in the driveway could be improved. Overall, Merlin's is a dependable place for breakfast and lunch, with friendly service and a welcoming environment.
