“Came to McHugh's Public House recently to catch up with a friend. The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and attentive, and the restaurant, in spite of being pretty busy on a weekday evening, was laid out in a way that my friend and I could have a great conversation without having to shout. We kept things simple with the food and drinks, and everything we had was enjoyable. Will likely be back in the future if I'm in the area.“

“This is an interesting place. Usually myself and two friends come here to play pool and just chill. Don't tend to order drinks anymore too often as it takes quite a bit of time to get one. Even when it's pretty slow. Maybe they are just tired and ready to go home. We do go there between 11pm-1am. Maybe it's because there is usually some idiot(s) there causing a scene and having to be kicked out. The bartenders are very kind though so I will give them that.“

“Was a little weird at first.. walked in to a guy named Bob dripping wet with 6 shamwows laying on the floor next to him. Started talking, friendly guy but thinks cheese on burgers is gross. Huge red flag. Also, he got so drunk I had to turn into an Uber for the night to get him home safely. Exceptional place otherwise.“

“We had a surprise birthday party here and the staff were superior in their service. Personal touches, speedy service, YUMMY pizza's, cold beer and mixed drinks. We had a blast and would highly recommend this bar for their friendly wonderful service and small town feel. Absolutely Excellent!!“

“We had a wedding reception dinner here last Saturday and I would highly recommend it. Mike was so helpful the last month answering all my questions and getting everything I needed to make our night perfect. Everyone was ranting and raving on how good the food was! Our bartender Kyle C. was awesome! He was busing tables and serving drinks like a champ. He even found me the last Busch light in the bar and saved it for me. Our night could have not been more perfect thanks to the hard working staff here. Best of all it worked great with our budget! “Chicken wild rice soup, burgers, chicken wings, tacos and fried fish…I’m working my way through the menu! Everything I’ve tried so far has been spot on, I like my food hot when it hits the table ✅. Summer dinners on the patio with my boxer are my favorite since they’re dog friendly and shower him with attention, water bowl and his own plate. I attended a catered surprise birthday party in the back room, my friend said they were amazing to work with from start to finish. The servers were very attentive to the food replenishment, clearing tables and keeping drinks full. Love this place, met the owners, they’re so nice!!“

“The Old Minneapolis cocktail is a nice, sweet version of an old fashioned.
Cheese curds are lightly battered and lightly fried. Perfectly melted cheese inside. Very nicely done.
Walleye had good flavor with a nice butter sauce.

“Found this place on Google Maps was gonna have lunch.But the reason I gave a four is they didn't serve lunch till one Got there at noon and they were still serving breakfast. .Had a great breakfast. We'll go back and try a lunch.“

Also put a lot more apples into your Apple fritters. I stopped buying but I saw two slices sticking out and thought a would try again. Nope. All dough“

“Ate here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and the food was amazing. We had multiple apps, burgers, and a flatbread and it was all delicious. Bar food but high quality. Cocktails were also delicious and a great tap selection. We'll definitely go back.“
