“I took my son here for a sushi dinner. Good food and service. We split edamame and a nigiri dinner for two. The nigiri dinner came with miso soup that was alright. Nice selection of sushi provided, along with spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls. The spicy salmon roll was a bit underwhelming in quality, but the nigiri was very good.

My son enjoyed the drink options, getting a watermelon soda. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Would definitely return.“

“This is the first time I have been to this place and I was so pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was great, they had anime playing on the tv, the service was prompt, and the food was so good. I was even able to switch my order after I realized I ordered something with cheese and told the server/cashier I couldn’t eat it. The art work is super fun on the walls and it was just an all around cool little restaurant glad I checked it out. Will be going back!“

“Stopped into Ichiddo Ramen in Highland Park for lunch on a Friday and it was surprisingly quiet. I was the only customer up front, aside from a couple people in the back who seemed like family of the staff, so it had a very relaxed, low-key vibe.

I kept it simple and ordered the chashu ramen, and it was exactly what you want from a solid bowl. The broth had good flavor, the pork belly was well done and tasty, and the noodles had that perfect chewy texture.

Nothing over the top, just a well-executed, satisfying bowl of ramen. With tip, it came out to about $20 (just water to drink), which feels pretty standard these days.

If you’re in the area and want a dependable, no-frills ramen spot without the wait, it’s a good option.“
