I called an audible and ordered the Spicy Thai Tofu Bowl. Before we walked in the door, I just knew I was going to order the Korean BBQ bowl. I am delighted I was wrong. The chef perfectly dialed the spice level (#2) to my hopefulness, partnering it well with the zing sauce. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a zing sauce, but it was persuasive enough to make me change my mind about curries. The creamy coconut sauce covered the fresh ingredients with comforting casualness. The sauce to rice ratio was good – as was the sweet to heat ratio. My favorite surprise ingredient was the potato! It felt like it belonged all along. I left Vellee very satisfied, wanting nothing more or less. The vibe was as energetic as the boom box display on the far wall. I intend to go back again in attempt to get the Korean BBQ bowl.“
“Wife and I had the chance to dine here, in the malcolm yards, today. I'll be willing to go on a limb, and say their fried chicken Sammy, is better than revivals. The char sui, jasmine rice ( just trust me on this) and the kimchi slaw were all on point. However, the most pleasant surprise I had, was how well the sliced chili's and fried leeks went with the french fries. definitely will be returning soon to give the cauliflower, and sesame fried chicken a whirl.“
“I thought I had written a review for this place already, oops, my bad. I love, love, love this place! Came here on a weeknight and it was packed. I did not make reservation but we got lucky by snatching two chairs at the bar. It is small inside but worth the wait. The staff was super efficient and friendly, there were two girls and one guy. The guy helped us with drinks and ordering our food. I am so sorry I forgot his name, but you could tell how hardworking they all were. We both ordered Potsticker Duet (highly recommend): *shrimp, Angus beef, chives *tofu mushroom kale *dill pork *kimchi pork My favorite was dill pork, it goes well with old godmother hot sauce. Honestly all the potstickers were amazing and their list of dipping sauce was great too. A female chef (we think she is the owner) came out of the kitchen and asked us how we are doing, and she gave us some kimchi she made the same day for samplings. Everything was delicious and the drinks were top notch, of course I always get my favorite drink, old fashioned with Japanese whiskey. Superb place.“
“This place is a dream come true! The food is incredible, from the huge modular entrees to the gigantic “mini-feast”, or the ribs which were the best I’ve ever had. What I am most excited about however is the brunch! I am planning on coming back every Sunday to try all of their brunch items.“
“My friends and I stumbled into this restaurant when Up Down was too packed to enjoy. It happened to be my birthday weekend so I was open to trying something new. I absolutely loved our waiter. “The atmosphere was pleasant and calm. The waiting staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The prices were more than fair, with our bill coming to a total of $49.89 which included the following. Two appetizers, two entrees and one beer. The appetizers and question where the tofu bun and the seaweed salad. The seaweed salad was fresh and well garnished. The tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Both ramen broths were made with the utmost care and precision. And before I was even done eating I was already planning my next visit.“

“The food is delicious and SUPER HOT. I had the shrimp green curry with red and green bell peppers. It was served in green curry sauce with rice on the side. I had two appetizers: spring rolls and pot stickers each with its own dipping sauce. The service was exceptional. The food came hot and ready to eat. I had green tea to top it off.“
“This is by far the best Thai that we have in the neighborhood! I usually get pad Thai and red curry anytime I try a new place, and I’ve been disappointed with the two other places nearby—but not here! I asked for pad Thai Flamin hot with tofu and it’s one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. The tofu was perfectly cubed and fried without being greasy, and the sauce a rich brown color with notes of peanut, tamarind, and lime (slightly sweet and tangy), and the spice was perfectly hot without being overpowering. Most other places give me mild/medium when I ask for Thai hot, and this place actually listened. The red curry was also memorable with bright flavors from the Thai basil and veggies. Poured over rice, it’s a heavenly combo perfect for a cold night. I am so grateful to have a new go-to Thai spot! I hope they stick around for a long time.“

“If you're coming to the Hmong Market there's a lot of places to go eat and drink. If you're hankering for the real deal you have to come to Rose's Kitchen. There are a few options for you if you don't eat meat but we got a Thai iced tea and some sweets and they were great. The place is nice to come and sit down to have a quick meal or a refreshing drink!Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options but it's best if you at least eat fish. “When I was craving sushi the other night and didn't feel like going out in the cold, this new takeout & delivery only restaurant popped up so I decided to try it. And I'm so glad that I did! The sushi arrived quickly and was super fresh. I got 2 spicy hamachi rolls, 2 spicy tuna rolls, and a miso soup. The soup was good but nothing to rave over, and rolls exceeded my expectations. They were fresh, tasty, and a good size. I even packed some for lunch the next day (still tasted great as leftovers) and the rice stayed soft too! Would definitely recommend for an at-home sushi night.“
“I want to give this cute spot five stars! The Cove is a no frills lunch spot with a lot of customizable options (brown rice, pick all your favorite toppings, sauces and spice level). I think the quality is solid and the portion sizes are generous! The missing star is to account for the inconsistency. Sometimes a level 2 spice level is perfect and sometimes it's wayyyy to much. Sometimes they add lots of fish, sometimes just a few pieces. I think it just depends on who is working that day. I think they could improve on staff training to improve consistency. Despite this, I find myself coming back to this delicious spot for a quick and filling lunch! It's definitely worth going and trying out! I also think the fusion theme is awesome - they have sushiritos, banh mi, rice bowls, steam buns, sambusas, burgers, etc! It's a pretty impressive variety.“

“My husband and i decided to try this place this weekend and we do like the food we had ordered. My favorite dish we ordered was the pork padthai. If you had laothia restaurant padthai. This probably the closest tasting dish i had in a long time and you can add spicy to the dish. The pork padthai was very good. My 2nd favorite was the beef brisket. We added medium spicy to it and it was delicious. It wasn't too sweet, the favors of the beef brisket balanced very well. The raw laab was good too. We did no green onion and no bitter. I like my raw laab still tasting fresh and favor balancing. If you're in the area, i definitely recommend stopping at this place if you're looking to have some good foodParking: We went during lunch time so parking was hard to find.“

I always recommend the doltsot Bibimbop (in the HOT stone bowl) so you can enjoy some toasted rice at the bottom of the stone bowl! 1 star taken off since they charge for banchon (the side dishes that usually accompany a good Korean bowl!) and it’s a little pricey for no kimchi or radish“
