“This feels like a converted bakers square with the long “greenhouse” section of seating.

When you first walk in you immediately see the pickup counter and a row of 3 iPads to order from. There’s a second counter where you can also order from an employee.

I was unfortunately fooled by the photo of bubble tea and didn’t realize I needed to add that separate so I was disappointed with a $6 boba-less tea. Still tasted good.

Went back for a classic Bhan-Mi. Bread was amazing (baked in house) and ingredients were fresh.

“This place was absolutely amazing! I ordered the salt & pepper fried tofu (as everyone recommended) and it did not disappoint — perfectly crispy and flavorful. I also tried three different soup base options with loads of fresh veggies, and everything was delicious, but my favorite by far was the spicy Szechuan base — rich, bold, and just the right amount of heat. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options. They confirmed the peanut sauce is vegan, but the Thai chili sauce contains fish sauce, so keep that in mind. The atmosphere is cozy with low lighting — perfect for warming up on a cold Minneapolis day or for a relaxed date night. Would definitely come back next time I’m in town!“

“Came to Minnesota on vacation and looked for a Vietnamese restaurant. We had two types of spring rolls and the banh mi. Both were delicious and fresh and the service was prompt and personal. Highly recommend if looking for Vietnamese food in the area!“

“As authentic as it gets. Older family run business that’s been around for 30 years. Owner, family and their 93 year old mom are still making some great food. Soup was really hearty which was great since many Pho places can water it down but this was great. Noodles weren’t overcooked too soft either. Lots of meat in the Pho too! “This is the first time my wife and I have visited Saigon Uptown, and we were extremely impressed. They have amazing food that is served and prepared by wonderfully friendly people. “This is my go to pho place!! I’ve moved around the twin cities a bunch and have tried many pho places, but I always find a way to go here. The broth in the pho is very rich you could have it without all the condiments in there. The cream cheese wontons are also the best!!! They are FILLED with cream cheese and you can taste they are made fresh. The sauce to go with it is soooo good as well! The staff is always friendly and nice! The food also comes out super quick! The atmosphere is very homey and relaxed! Definitely recommend to go here if you can!“

“Top notch food here, it's almost a crime to add anything else into the broth of their pho. This place is a gem for sure, it's one of my favorites.. the cream cheese wontons are some of the best around town. The lighting is soft, it's usually occupied but when it's not it's definitely a vibe and the staff here is extremely hospitable and kind. Almost anything we've ever requested has been granted to us here.“

“I’ve been craving bún bò huế for a while but was hesitant to try it just anywhere. After hearing that Tay Ho serves some of the best in the Twin Cities, I finally decided to check it out and wow, it did not disappoint!

The broth came out piping hot, rich, and full of flavor. It was loaded with generous chunks of brisket and a pork hock that soaked up all that goodness perfectly. The meat was tender and paired so well with the noodles and herbs.

The lady who served my friend and I was kind and attentive, always refilling our water and checking in on us without being overbearing.

We also ordered egg rolls and spring rolls on the side. The egg rolls were crispy and flavorful, but the spring rolls weren’t really my favorite. The pork had a slightly funky taste.

The restaurant itself is cozy with tables close together, so you might catch snippets of nearby conversations. Parking can be a little tight too, but it’s manageable.

Overall, the food and service here totally won me over. I’ll definitely be back for their bún bò huế and to try more items from the menu next time!“
