We absolutely love Breadsmith on Grand. Not only is their bread delicious they are also a great part of the St. Paul community. The owner agreed to host my 6 year old daughter and a handful of her friends for a tour and baking lesson for her birthday because she wants to be a baker when she grows up. They did such a wonderful job and the girls had a blast.
Their chocolate babka is amazing, especially when you heat it up in the oven at a low heat. Their foccaccias are also good. The description that states "all breads are vegan" is incorrect; not all breads are vegan, bc some use honey.

I know everything is allegedly handmade but I still think their bread is kind of overpriced. Sure it's great! But damn! The service is ok but they could be nicer. The ambience is very nice for sure!
