Order at the counter and find a seat. It's super busy so there is a long line and a bit of a wait.
Wooden chairs with no handles so easy for plus size butts, they are sturdy. But almost no space between tables so expect to squeeze and lots of op sorry as you slip on past people.
I got a coffee, my husband got a hot cider, and we split a classic breakfast with some French toast.
The bacon was thick and perfect, we got basted eggs and they were cooked exactly as you would expect. Could have used some salt and pepper which they don't keep at the table. Potatos were perfect tenderness yeah. I looked at all the stuff already. French toast was super fluffy and moist tons of fruit and whip.
Overall we were very pleased.

I visited the Finnish Bistro for the first time recently and I fell in love with the atmosphere. I am shocked that more people don't know about this spot and I look forward to visiting again soon!

I ordered takeout a couple weeks back and still can't stop thinking about their pulla apple cider. It was nice and hot and included a nice blend of spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom I think). It was everything you could want in fall drink. I would go back just for that.
I also ordered their reindeer sausage & potato quiche and farmer pasty dinner, both of which came with a side salad and some type of white dressing/sauce. The quiche was addictingly delicious and a pretty decent size. It was flavorful and creamy. Would recommend.
I've never had a pasty before so I wasn't sure what to expect, but the outside dough was kind of tough and the meat inside seemed to be a bit overcooked.
Despite the the pasty, I would still come back again for the cider and quiche. They were so good!

Place is has decent food. I didn't think it was over the top Delicious. Very busy location. Small establishment. You have to clean your own table. They only bring out your food. They do not clean the tables. They do have all types of meals for anyone to chose from. So picky eaters can find something good to eat. They do serve adult beverages which was a huge plus. Lots of College adults. Busy location.

We took my Finnish father-in-law and Swedish mother-in-law to this bakery. I didnt get to try everything because there was such a huge menu. I did try the almond Kringle, which they call kringler, and also the lingonberry pulla, because my MIL is a big bulla bread baker. She had to try it. We also tried the pulla bread French toast and some lingonberry sparkling water. Oh, and I got a reindeer omelet. It was fun! I will have to come back to get some of the hot drinks, like pulla hot chocolate!

This place is amazing, and there was a little music show around 10am, but I left a little early, so I didn't get to see the show. The matcha was great. It's a cute place to read and meet friends.

Food was very good, but music was too loud. We went outside where it was cool.

TLDR: Ask for your receipts they charge a service charge without any indication on the menu. Terrible service, red hair lady convinced me to buy the soup and wait for it but instead made me wait 40 mins and never once apologized. She blamed it on the cooks instead of just owning up that she lied!
I was in today around 7:30am-7:45am to get some soup. The girl who waited on me had red hair and wore witches’ hat. Kinda looks like one and talks like one. Upon asking about the soup she told me it was going to be 20 mins, ok fine I payed for it and waited. By 8:15 I went up to the counter and she basically acted like she forgot. After convincing me to pay for the soup ahead of time. She said she’ll bring the soup to me and it’ll be out shortly. I wait again then I finally walk up to the counter and she clearly forgot again. Finally at this point it’s been 45 mins and she’s basically lying to my face. I ask for a refund, then in the midst of it she BLAMES the cooks. Maam, the cooks had nothing to do with it. At some point, you could’ve communicated with me that it would take long past the 20 mins. Terrible service, I’m in the industry and I can tell when people are lying or pretending. Tell your employee to learn how to upfront and clear with their guests.
BTW, I have been going here the past 4 years and this is the worst service I’ve ever received!
OH AND THEY HAVE A SERVICE CHARGE WHICH IS ILLEGAL IN THE STATE OF MN!!! It doesn’t say anywhere before purchasing that there is a service charge.

Just came for a coffee on the go. It's a hidden gem! Great ambience, and friendly staff. And the coffee was great!
It would be great if potential customers didn’t have to give a credit card number over the phone just to place an order in advance. When did small businesses stop liking cash?
