Stopped in for coffee while visiting the University of Minnesota. Good coffee and informal atmosphere with mix of students and locals.

I love mims! As a U student, this place is an iconic staple. I love their chicken schwarma and while ive tried multiple Mediterranean places around the cities, I feel mims is the best! Its so juicy and flavorful and I love their white sauce.

The service is so friendly, warm, welcoming and caring. I love talking to the cashiers and I can tell that the FOH and BOH have a good relationship which is always cute to see. Mims is a great example of neighbors supporting neighbors.

We were having a dinner party and our original plans fell through. I called Mim's and ordered two Shiek's Platters for take out. In less than an hour all of the problems were solved and the food was incredible.

What a neighborhood gem!

I really liked Mim’s and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. I thought this was a tasty meal and a great value for $10.99. The baklava was great too! There is plenty of seating, nothing fancy, but it was clean.

Got a platter so got to try it all. For context I’ve been in Palestine and am an avid fan of Levantine food.

Meat was very dry (which impacts flavor significantly) — lamb, chicken, shawarma etc all very mediocre. Hummus/baba ganoush/tabbouleh were decent-ish. Falafel was freshly made and therefore probably the best of what we ate. Felt like the ‘large’ portions just meant more rice and salad which doesnt justify the increased price differential. I left hungry and dissatisfied. There are other good Mediterranean places in Minneapolis—definitely skip this one.

Large latte for $4... What's not to like?

Whatever you do, don’t joke around inside this establishment. They are very serious people. 🤣Got kicked out for making not even that bad of a joke. Good luck in life taking everything so serious even from someone you don’t know. 😁 The longer I have been thinking about it I realize that this establishment is against freedom of speech. How are you going to not serve somebody because of something they said you don’t like. I love America and I love freedom of speech if you love freedom of speech, do not support this establishment.

Delicious fresh ethnic food. Great for gluten free. Friendly accomodating staff. Comfy also outside dining. Across the street from St Paul U of MN, so parking is dicey ( some in the back). Definately worth the trip, so yummy

An affordable, delicious, no-frills restaurant and community gathering space with lots of local art on the walls and the occasional patio banjo player!
