Stopped in for lunch as we went through Virgina and had the stuffed mushrooms. They were one of the most delicious and filling stuffed mushroom I have had! Stop in and try them out.

On our way further north we stopped in the town of Virginia, MN. Looking for a local restaurant, we decided on Grandma's Saloon. Nice family restaurant. A very extensive menu with soup (fabulous!), salads, sandwiches and lovely entrees. We share one bowl of the chicken and wild rice soup. It was hearty, delicious and filling! We also shared a double patty burger with cheddar cheese, pickles and onion rings. Really delicious! Loved the bun! Our waitress was very nice....

Friendly service. Very accommodating of our dietary restrictions, even creating a variation of a menu item. Food was fresh and very good. The decor is dated, but we didn't really care about that.
