I like their food, but when you let dog on the patio, this is not good. my Mom and I were there one Saturday, there were these 2 girls sitting at a table for 2. We got our food and 2 more girls came and one with a big dog and a baby. They never asked for a bigger table and obviously they did not when they did when asking for a table. their table butted up against our table and the did not have control of the dog on the appropriate side. The best tap list in the Twin Cities northeast metro and guaranteed to have everyone’s favorite appetizer and meal on the menu. It’s a must stop for anyone visiting White Bear Lake and has the best patio in the historical downtown area. Whether you are visiting for the first time or lived here your whole life, you’ll love this place!
I like WS because it's a nice place to stop in and have a beer & burger. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. The bartenders are friendly.

Washington Square Bar & Grill offers a great dining experience with an excellent atmosphere, attentive servers, and skilled bartenders. Known for its impressive tap list, the restaurant is a must-stop for anyone visiting White Bear Lake. The beer selection and appetizers, like the stuffed avocado, are a hit, and entrees such as the Burger and Southwest Salad are delicious. The restaurant boasts the best patio in the historical downtown area, providing a lovely spot for diners. While the fajita to tortilla ratio may be off, the restaurant shines with its customer-focused service and attention to detail. Recent reviews highlight the beautiful patio and great service, with servers being patient and professional. However, some feedback noted concerns about cleanliness, including a stale beer smell and flies inside the restaurant. The food remains excellent, with amazing desserts and popular items like chicken bites, which are crispy, juicy, and tender. Service can be slow at times, requiring guests to flag down staff occasionally. The venue is accessible for those with mobility issues through the side door, although the front door is not accessible. Overall, Washington Square Bar & Grill is a place worth visiting again, especially for its food, atmosphere, and friendly service.
