“In love with this cute little log cabin coffee place! May or may not have gone 3 times in the last 24 hours. 🤭 The first time the kiddos got an iced chai and chocolate frap while I got a hot chocolate with oat milk and almond syrup. Their lemon poppy seed muffins are pure heaven. So much that I ate a big lunch and still had to make a pit stop for another one before we leave town. Truly amazing drinks but even more than that, amazing and sweet employees!! Thank you so much! Will have to stop by tomorrow before we head back home.”

“I’ve been wanting to try your Thai food for ages, and tonight we picked some up from the park. It was so darned good, we’re definitely coming back to try other dishes. We had the spring rolls with the mint, spring onion, shrimp and such a tasty peanut sauce. I loved the mint and spring onion - such pops of flavor. Also had the Pad Thai and I’ve had that before at restaurants and haven’t been impressed. Yours was tasty and light and made me love the dish again. Thanks Roger and Pa’an - delicious dinner.”

“Insula has become a favorite place for lunch in Ely. The menu is varied, and the lunch soup and sandwich is just the right size. I really like the Bahn Mi sandwich, probably my favorite. The atmosphere is quiet, which is very nice for conversation. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place for lunch.”

“Absolutely loved the food and service! Our party of 6 all ordered something different and we all raved about our meals. Highly recommend the meatloaf, walleye, fish sandwich and the Philly.”

“Busy place so you should make a reservation. But if you walk in, they have seating outside the restaurant in the hotel lobby, or in the bar.
Either way, the service was decent and the food was excellent.
Recommend the pan-fried walleye - probably the best walleye I've ever eaten.
Looking forward to our return to Ely for a visit to the Evergreen.”

“It’s a clean and easy to find and easy to park at Subway. Food is what I would expect, and the prices are relatively reasonable. Bathrooms were also clean and the store has been recently remodeled it appears. Not sure what else there used to say!”

“If you’re ever up in the Ely area and looking for a menu, that’s diverse with a lot of options. This is the place to go. Honestly, some of the best burgers I’ve ever had and you would never know unless you find this place on the beaten path in town. I first pulled up and I said no way but when I went in, I said hell yeah. The food was amazing.”

“The pizza was fast, fresh, and hot—just the way it should be! The young man taking orders and making the pizzas was super friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. The inside was clean and well-kept, and I was pleasantly surprised to see seating for about three groups. Perfect for a quick bite or takeout. We’ll definitely be back!”

“When I first saw the name of this place I was somewhat resolved not to go there. I hated that name. I've been there a few times now, and I have to say their food is some of the best. I normally have the spinach and strawberry salad, but the last time I ordered their smashburger. AMAZINGLY GOOD! I didn't enjoy the din from the TV sets all over the place, making conversation hard. I highly recommend the food and service here.”
