50 Best Mexican Restaurants near Brentwood

“I went for a birthday dinner and it was fairly empty when we arrived but filled up about 90 mins later. And this was on a Wednesday evening around 5pm, not a weekend. Anyway, I ordered the Quesabirria which was pretty good. The beans (refried) and rice that comes with it works better as an additional ingredient to an entre but not as a side dish (in my opinion) so I took a bite and that's it. The food was pretty decent. Not yummy yummy 🤤😋 but decent. I'm not a huge fan of Mexican food so take that into consideration. The bathroom was clean. The staff was friendly, I didn't encounter anyone that was rude or anything so that's a plus. The parking is a little tricky and I only say that because it's fairly small but it's because they share it with a hotel and an apartment complex so be careful where you park. You don't wanna come out after your meal to a ticket on your windshield. There is a parking garage that has plenty of parking but it's a bit of a walk depending on where you find your parking spot so keep that in mind. Maybe drop off your group at the door and then have someone volunteer as sacrifice for that lengthy walk after they park in the parking garage. Maybe 🤷🏾 Just a thought. 4/5 only because a 5/5 would be considered perfect and I don't think that my overall experience reflects that. However, I would recommend it to anyone that is a fan of Mexican food. They might like it.“

We enjoyed meeting owner brothers and hearing their story of bringing their Yucatan culture and roots to the St. Louis food scene. Everything we tried was beyond delicious. “My sister gifted my husband and I a gift card for Xmas. She works for three kings in south county another establishment with the same owners. The food and atmosphere at Three Kings is so great that we were thrilled to see they’d opened a Mexican restaurant as we love tacos! Just from walking up from the partying lot, I knew it would be great! The outside dining had lots of themed touches that were really nice! Soon as we walked in we were greeted and told of our wait time. we really appreciated that the hostess took our number and called us when our table was ready. We ended up sitting and waiting, we like to people watch :D the decor was gorgeous! I loved the succulent chandelier, the floral walls, the ceramic and the mosaic touches! All of their establishments are inviting and really create a nice atmosphere! Our server Charlie was friendly and knowledgeable regarding drinks and food! We each had a delicious margarita! The chips and salsa were fantastic! My husband ordered a smothered burrito and I opted for a taco plate. I was very impressed with the amount of options on the food especially for health conscious people- vegan, gluten free, etc! I loved that I could mix and match, I had a Baja fish taco and the vegan chorizo. Both were amazing! The slaw on the baja taco was sweet and crunchy! This was my first experience with vegan chorizo and it was the perfect amount of spicy! The plantains were delicious and basically became our dessert! We over indulged too much and skipped dessert, but we will be back soon so that we can order the Churros! Highly recommend checking out Tres Reyes and or Three Kings if you haven’t yet! You won’t be disappointed! :)“

They had really delicious non-alcoholic beverages, the food was delicious and savory. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Loved it! Rest is very authentic: they had products you may purchase that are usually used in Mexico. They had Mexican music on, moderate level.“

“Let me just preface this by saying I moved here from South Texas and have spent more than my fair share of time in Old Mexico. In years of searching for REAL Mexican food in St Louis, I’ve had many disappointments. This place was absolutely fantastic and pure pleasure for an old Texan. It even made me shhh my wife because I wasn’t willing to remove my focus from the delicacy I was partaking in. Can’t recommend this place enough and haven’t been able to stop telling others about it. I’ll be a permanent fixture there for sure.“

“I can't say enough about this restaurant. It's the BEST! We go there a lot. We ate there 12/27/25. You get so much food with the Fajita dish that I always have to take half of it home. My husband mostly gets meals with shrimp and he too loves them. In getting to know them over the years is like gaining another family member. Maria even helped me get a great doctor for my husband. Service is always spot on. They always bring me me a frosted mug with my beer, without asking! Everyone is very friendly. If you like Mexican food you REALLY need to go there. I came by for Cinco de Mayo and they had live music. You can really tell they put care into creating a great atmosphere.

The service is just as amazing as the food. The staff is always so kind and welcoming. One time I accidentally left my leftovers behind (which are sacred to me), and one of the staff literally chased me out to the parking lot to return them.

“My husband and I have visited Takeiros three times and brought our 10 year old along on a couple of those occasions. The food is flavorful (I love the chicken seasoning and marinades they use) and portions very generous. Complimentary chips and salsa are always fresh and tasty and they have a chihuahua cheese sauce that I really like. The Monster Chimichanga plate is big enough that my husband and I can easily split it. I’m a big fajita fan and the stuffing of the chimichanga is very akin to chicken fajitas. Kids options are also many and varied - there is a kids menu with American stand-bys like chicken fingers and burgers, but they also have an à la carte menus that can allow kids to order single tacos, cheese quesadillas, or burritos if they prefer. Service is also great as everyone we’ve spoken with there has been kind and attentive. Food comes out fast and hot and servers are always checking in.“

“Food is excellent. The posole was so tasty. Get the green one! The salmon was a very good and generous portion with excellent mole. We heard them chopping the avocados to make our guacamole which was as fresh as the chopping indicated. Chicken enchiladas with green sauce was great and better than most established Mexican restaurants around town. Even the black beans were noteworthy. If you’re worried about them not having a liquor license right now, there is a liquor store upstairs where you can buy any number of Mexican beers, wines of all sorts and any can or bottle you might want and they welcome you to have it at your table. I highly recommend this little place.“

“I have been there many times, and I have always received great service from all the waitresses. Carolina and Luisa will make you feel welcome and brighten your day. I've been through most of their menu and even asked them to pick a meal they thought was the best for me, and I was happily surprised at how wonderful it was. When they first opened, I had a going-away party for a friend with 12 people, and they could not have been more accommodating. Sidenote: if you've not had the choriqueso dip, you are in for a treat.“

“This is our 2nd visit, have now had both lunch & supper. This is a casual mexican restaurant, casual attire was observed on most customers. Ratings are in comparion to other casual businesses.
Good chips & salsa were provided for free at table. Prices were very reasonable. All our food tasted great, had spice & flavour! My fajita meat & veggies both tasted grilled, yum! Garnish veggies were fresh, pico. Sour cream was properly cool. Portion sizes on lunch were approriate, supper was larger, as expected. Adequate variety in menu, includes the usually expected mexican-american staples.
Nice servers. Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere where you are not rushed. Full bar with bigscreen tv. Nice music. Huge free parking lot as part of the Deer Creek shopping center.
We plan to go back more often & try more dishes....the menu includes soups which we have yet to enjoy.
Bonus ... there is a park across the road from this strip mall connected by a great rivers greenway paved path under the bridge.“
