“I was in town visiting my grandma who lives in Nevada,MO and the food was certainly worth the 30 minute drive. I had the burnt ends and they were amazeballs and the deep fried mushrooms were another great hit. I’d eat here daily if I lived closer. This place not only has a grill and dinner but also has a small grocery store too. The husband and wife (assuming) running the place were so nice and happy to answer any questions. Please support this small but great establishment!!!“

“Cottey food is just like you parents cooking. When I am at Cottey I sometimes miss my parents cooking, but when I'm home I DEFINITELY miss Cottey's cooking. I am not looking forward to my transfer institutions food. The Mac n Cheese soup is THE BEST! There's always something you can find to eat!“

“I love Vern’s and I am so glad they are here in Nevada. They have amazing food and I have never had bad service there! The owner puts major effort into offering a creative menu, and I have yet to have a bad meal there! Their Friday, Saturday & Sunday breakfast specials are so good and the serving sizes are huge! They have the best wings and they are always on special Wednesdays and Sundays. Their burgers are so good, and have the best buns!“
