I got the bbq pork steak today. It was so good. I also got the slaw and fried okra. The okra is the real deal. You can it's fresh the moment you taste it. I highly recommend this place. And the people there are so nice
Best BBQ in Cape hands down
Truly the best BBQ in southeast Missouri!l! The bbq pork steak falls right off of the bone! TruQue also catered my husband’s 40th birthday party a few years ago. Our uncle from Nashville, Tennessee was in attendance and he told me that he hasn’t found any bbq place in his area to match what we had that day.

True-Que is a BBQ spot where delicious food is offered at fast-food prices. The owner's kindness reflects in the food quality, and the service is great with polite and respectful staff who appreciate every customer. While the small setup doesn’t provide table service, the Brisket Sandwich and Smoked Wings remain excellent choices. The Pork steaks are unbeatable, claimed to be the best many have ever had, and the pulled pork sandwich has a smoky taste that many diners enjoy. The rib sandwich is also a favorite, with tender meat that comes clean off the bones when pulled. Additionally, the burnt ends and rib tips are flavorful, though some prefer sauce on their ribs rather than on the side. Although Turkey isn't available daily, the food remains very tasty. The atmosphere may not be fancy, but True-Que has a wonderful old school vibe that adds to its unique charm. The baked beans have been described as the best ever, and the side slaw is the perfect accompaniment. The location is odd and away from the big franchise restaurants, but this hidden gem is a place where the love for BBQ shines through. Customers are eager to return and suggest others try it, confident they won't be disappointed.
