My best friend and I went for lunch today. First the food was fine. The queso flavor was good, but other reviews are right that it is very watery. My fajitas were not bad, but not the best I've ever had in my life either.

Food quality seems to continue to decline. Their queso is basically water, you dip the chip and it just runs right off. There is no “cheese” flavor because it’s so thinned out. Keep giving chance after disappointment because at one point in time it was my families choice of Mexican in town, and it’s like a coin toss of it might be good or be bad (like it was tonight) but it seems every time we give it time and come back, we quickly realize why we stoped ordering from there....read full review

El Charro offers a variety of dishes, from the flavorful Estey Felis to the popular choripollo. The food is consistently good and the service remains efficient. Many customers highly recommend the roasted jalapeños—just ask for them, as they may not be on the menu. Takeout orders are always ready on time and are excellent, often including street tacos or fajitas. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant. The restaurant also offers lots of gluten-free options and caters well to dietary needs. It’s a great stop for a meal. The awesome guacamole is a highlight, perhaps the best guac. Enchiladas, tacos, and so on are mainstream fare. Table service was great, and prices were reasonable. The menu is a decent size at reasonable prices.
