Herbie’s had a nice atmosphere and made for a relaxed lunch spot. I tried the coconut shrimp, and while the flavor was good, the portion felt like it could have used a little more to make it feel complete for the price. A small side like rice would have paired nicely with it. Overall, it was a comfortable place for lunch, and I can see it being a good fit for someone looking for a chill spot with a more upscale menu.
Stopped in for a dinner service and ordered the Lamb Shank special which was fantastic. Though I did also order the fries appetizer which is enough for a 4 person table (fantastic). The mussels had a good sauce but did not smell/taste/look fresh. That was the only clunker of the meal.
My girlfriend suggested Herbie’s for dinner, and I’m glad she did! The ambiance is great—I especially loved the indoor bar and the music. While the menu wasn’t as large as I expected, the food definitely made up for it. The portions were huge and everything was delicious. Don’t make the same mistake we did by ordering too much thinking the portions would be small—Herbie’s definitely gives you your money’s worth. We’ll be back!
