“Had a BLAST at karaoke last night. Eclectic dive bar and diverse clientele. Today, the morning after, everyone in our group raved about how nice and friendly the staff and patrons were. We weren’t sure about the tavern when we walked in. Within a few minutes, we were like “oh, yeah, this place is vibing.” People seemed to know each other, while also being welcoming to our family of 12. Thank you, Eastside Tavern, for the fun memory.“

“If there’s once place in Columbus that bourbon aficionados need to go it is here. Jeff was amazing, he’s knowledgeable and friendly. Take my unsolicited wisdom with a grain of salt, I am from northern British Columbia where bar tenders/owners that personally love bourbon are not a common commodity.“

“I’ve only ordered drinks here and it is a fun experience. They have themes throughout the year that is incorporated throughout the space and the menu. This time was the ‘Love Pub’ for Valentine’s Day. They did a lot with a little regarding the decor, very thoughtful and well done. The drinks were well thought out and delicious. It was a fun stop that we made and good memories were created here.“

“Have a great room, the view from my balcony overlooks Broadway St. and much of the University of Missouri. the staff are great, the food is great and even during the limited service because of Covid and being Christmas weekend these people are all in for me. I made the right choice!!!!!“

Also an incredibly helpful staff. They always somehow know what I haven’t tried yet. Almost like they know me on a personal basis.10/10 recommend this establish if you want a different experience from the normal boring bar scene.“

“I drove all the way from Jefferson City to Columbia specifically to bring my kids here, only to arrive and find the doors locked — despite their Open sign being on and a Facebook post made the SAME DAY advertising family-friendly arcade games until 5pm. There was no notice posted, no update on their page, and no warning whatsoever. After messaging them, I was told they were “short staffed” and wouldn’t open until 4pm. That would’ve been fine if they had bothered to communicate that before people wasted gas, time, and energy driving out — especially families with kids. What made this worse was the complete lack of accountability or urgency. No apology beyond a generic response, no attempt to make it right, and no concern that I was sitting there with a car full of disappointed kids. If you’re going to advertise events and promote being open, you need to actually be open — or at the very least update your customers. This was careless, frustrating, and incredibly unprofessional. We won’t be back, and I strongly suggest others confirm they’re actually open before making the trip, because their social media and reality clearly don’t match.“

Spent about 4 hours here with friends on a Saturday evening playing games.

Space is comfortable and the seating is excellent. Sound level is quiet but can get very noisy during busier times.

“Chris Mc D's has the best gourmet food in Mid-Missouri...or maybe anywhere. On a recent visit, we met our server, Joe. He was so knowledgeable about the food and how it was cooked, that I ,wondered if he had been standing elbow-to-elbow with the CHEF, who has my highest regards. Joe explained to us how all the seafood is FLOWN IN fresh. This speaks very highly both of Chris Mc D's and Joe, who knew and cared to share this information with us. A solid 5 stars for this restaurant!“
