“We come to the ozarks every year but this is our first year at margaritaville, our bartender was Cara and she was amazing, when I say amazing she was bubbly, informative, attentive and just all around incredible. “Backwater Jack’s is always a great time and one of my favorite spots to swing by at the lake. Even though the weather rolled in with cloudy skies and a little rain while I was there, the atmosphere still delivered. The view overlooking the water was calm, peaceful, and relaxing for the afternoon, but you can absolutely tell this place knows how to turn up the fun when the crowd rolls in.

The food was fantastic and full of flavor. Stevie, my waitress, was phenomenal — charming, attentive, and very helpful with recommending the Garlic Chicken Pasta, which definitely did not disappoint. Service like that really makes a place stand out, and she made the whole experience even better.

I’ve been here before and always had a good time, which says a lot about consistency. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing lakeside meal, drinks with friends, or a lively time later in the evening, this place really offers the full Lake of the Ozarks experience. “Fries are usually good, this time around they were hard and tasted like they were sitting around for awhile. Staff kept trying to bring us other people's food, while we were clearly eating. Asked waitress multiple times for drinks and she kept forgetting. Asked for a lime in my beer 3x and never had received the lime. This is my favorite lakeside bar/ restaurant in the area but thia time it really fell below expectations.“
