“Yes, I recommend HA. Becuz we had a group of 10 folks, they enabled us to reserve a table. Good thing we did since it was packed when we arrived. Despite being their busiest night yet, the customer service was outstanding. They let us move to a quiet space and continued to serve/check on us all night. They had pre-selected 6 games for our group that were great choices. A fantastic night and we’ll be back!“

Eastside Tavern Bar • $

“It has the decor of a dive bar (lots of posters), because that's pretty much what it is. But dive bars can be fun, and this one schedules good bands and fun events. I wouldn't order a martini from here, but grab a beer and catch a band or two.“

Broadway Brewery Taproom on 9th Bar •
15 S 9th St, Columbia

“I'm not a huge beer girl but I really enjoy going to Broadway Brewery and experimenting. I like their sours. I usually like to go in a group or on a date and everybody I've taken here has had a great time. The place is really nice and it's amazing to go on a beautiful day when they have the garage door open. My experience with the bartenders is great. I also want to add that if you're not big into beers or sours, they still do mixed drinks.“

“You need to try this place! They have so many different varieties of alcohol slushies. Ask for a taste to decide- just like at the ice cream counter. It's the classic white cup with a red straw. They have other drink options too but hey- who doesn't want a slushie??“

Black & Gold Tavern Bar • $
2102 Business Loop 70 E, Columbia

“This is an unassuming hole in the wall for sure. This all wooden building looks like it could pass as someone's backyard shed with no windows. The bartender immediately saw us and asked for our drink order. This joint does not appear to serve food but they did have free popcorn. We decided to sit outside on the small patio. We were shocked when both bartenders checked on us multiple times as we weren't expecting table service. This definitely is more of a locals stomping ground as it was clear we were out of towners but they poured us a nice cold beer so a great spot to catch up with an old friend.“

“This is a great place to play pool. There are about 10 tables and they look in good condition plenty of space to play comfortably. They charge by the hour to play and you should be prepared to show a card to open your tab. We did also notice there was an outdoor area in the back. My only complaint is the food and lack of communication. Don’t get me wrong, the staff was friendly but as first timers it was a bit confusing. No waiters come to you if you’re playing on the pool side, (there is just a restaurant side available) you have to go up to the bar to order drinks and food. No hard copies of the menu, you have to find a small paper with a QR code. I would have loved a short speech along the lines of “if you guys need any drinks or food just feel free to come up to the bar and order and by the way here’s how to access our menu.” I suppose these things are only an issue to those of us who aren’t locals, because everyone seemed to be having a good time and knew what to do. The food did take a bit long to get to us and it wasn’t full enough, in my opinion, to cause that much of a wait time. Overall a good time and wouldn’t mind returning.“
