Wonderful Soda Fountain / Ice Cream Shop / Restaurant / Florist Shop in the heart of downtown Elsberry. I ordered a Rachel with a Coca-Cola Phosphate for lunch, both were delicious. Service was excellent. Atmosphere and decor are nostalgic. They even have a couple pinball machines in back. Great local treasure and perfect venue for grabbing a tasty bite to eat, or old fashioned malt, shake, or soda float.
Fantastic food and selection! Darling little shop! And the owner was very sweet. She greeted me at the door with my pick-up order and told me a little about Elsberry. I'm new. Can't wait to go back!

Rode the motorcycle out to Elsberry, MO and stopped for lunch at The Pickle Barrel. Great little place with an old fashioned feel. Old soda fountain (I had a a cherry Coke Phosphate) and nice little sandwiches. We both had reubens. They were good - not the best I have ever had but nice and a good size for lunch. Fantastic chocolate malts with bits of malt. Cool atmosphere and a flower shop to boot. It's simple quality food. And most of all friendly service and great atmosphere!...read full review
