“Absolutely delightful coffee shop. We ended up in Festus overnight and eager to find a nice coffee & pastry. I waited in the car with pup & hubby texted “I think you need to come in.” So excited to find excellent coffee and even better pastries. Lovely baristas and helped us with our choices. We left with two times more than we should. Loved every bite. Can’t wait find ourselves back in the neighbourhood to pop in again!!!“

“Used to have to go to Wisconsin to get Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Company’s ice cream but now it’s available in our region. Stopped by for a shot of espresso over a scoop of ‘#*!*Serious’ (an affogato) and it was fantastic. Best ever. So nice to have a coffee AND ice cream shop under one roof. Courteous staff, too! Next time I’m going to take my wife and do a little local shopping. Beautiful downtown Main Street area.“

“I got a call from my mom crying this morning saying this location was wonderful. My dad is on hospice and my mom wanted to get donuts for the nurses coming in today and my mom said I don’t know what I want I just need donuts for my husbands hospice team. They said go ahead and pull around. My mom pulled around and 2 people walked out to her car with a dozen donuts and cried with her as they all hugged. We need more people like the employees at this location. All it takes is kindness and compassion. Thank you Festus Dunkin! “My experience was of Dyer need of food and help without questions or goodness this McDonald's and a guy named Taylor absolutely came through for me and mine on two separate occasions in two nights godbless this kindhearted and wonderful mcds... “I put yes that I recommend…. That being said, I got a protein box today with fruit and crackers and cheese. Cheese and crackers were fine,but I failed to notice the brown apples until after I was gone…. Lesson learned. The grapes and apples were bad. The expiration date was today. Just an FYI. I typically have no issues.“

“Reviewing the food at McDonald’s is a bit like reviewing the weather, you already know what you’re getting. You either like McDonald’s or you’re not reading this review. The real question is whether this location knows the assignment.

Located just off a major interstate exit, this restaurant serves a constant flow of travelers, yet the drive-thru keeps moving. I’ve never sat through one of those mysterious lines where nobody seems to move for five minutes. Orders are accurate, food comes out quickly, and the operation runs smoothly.

The interior has the modern McDonald’s look, with kiosks doing most of the ordering. If you’re determined to order from an actual human being, they’ll still happily take your order at the counter.

The biggest compliment I can give an interstate McDonald’s is this: I’d have no hesitation stopping here on a road trip. The dining room is clean, and, perhaps more importantly, the restrooms are clean and well maintained.

Places like this are really pass/fail. Nobody expects a Michelin star; they expect clean, fast, and accurate. This location earns an easy A.“
