“oh gordon’s what’s not to love? i’ve been going here since i was a kid with my dad and it’s always been the same,the best burger i’ve ever had, and the cheese fries mann! the hard working people that run that show do a amazing job i highly recommend stopping in to have a single cheeseburger and some cheese fries it’s my favorite thanks to the awesome cooks! i swear they make mine special or something cuz its always so good“

“I've been going here since I was a little kid and their food is still unmatched. Old timey, diner-style restaurant with friendly service, to-die-for ice cream, and plenty of lovely memories. Also has great pricing and a claw machine I've won two stuffed animals from, which is in my opinion a good record. Highly reccommend mozzarella sticks, fries, and waffle cone sundae (mint chip is superior).“

“2nd time here while passing through with a crew I oversee and thought I'd buy them lunch. Had the steak sandwich again it's once again. delicious. Same chef as last time. Waitress, girl with black pigtails, sorry (forgot your name) was friendly and attentive.
Might be known as a biker bar but delivers in other areas.“

“I won’t lie, I work here, BUT I’ve been a HUGE fan of Taytros since they were in their first location. Food, drinks, music, and atmosphere have always been great! I still have yet to grow tired of eating here. The made in-house ranch, Asian glaze, homemade croutons, Cajun bbq shrimp, Kerris jalapeño poppin chicken with sugar snap peas or Angry Italian sandwich & fries are some of my top favorites. Paired with a hurricane, lous watermelon sunrise, or lavender lemon drop martini 🤌🏻💋“

I'll have to say, I hate doing this review.
I had high hopes after our last visit.
As happy as we were in the food and service last time, I had the opposite experience last night. I dropped in after work to grab some food, on my way home. It was late around 11:15pm.
After ordering I sat at the drive thru window for over 20 minutes. There was a line of probably 4 or 5 vehicles behind me waiting also. Who knows how long they waited.
I noticed 3 bags of food to go on the counter inside that sat there for quite some time. The young kid working finally appeared and grabbed the first bag and handed it to me. I figured they weren't ready having sat there for a while.
The food was cold. What a complete fail.
2 cold meals for $20.
Maybe just a bad night but it'll more than likely be my last trip for a long time.

We have tried 2 times now, after our bad experience.
I believe things are turning around. There seems to be a resurgence of Steak and Shake. Good for them!
We've always liked the style and crispy edges burgers they serve. The fries are some of the best in our opinion.
Please keep up the good work and we'll keep eating here!

“Had a great time. Our meals were great. Two of us had pancakes with strawberries. One had the Old Timers and the other had new Cinnamon rolls skillet. That skillet was amazing. Waiter was very attentive and made sure we had what we needed.“
