Vintage 1847 Restaurant Reviews
My husband and I love this restaurant! We talk about trying something new but are true creatures of habit here. We always order the Jaeger schnitzel because it is so delicious!! Add a couple glasses of wine and bread pudding for dessert and it’s a perfect meal. We did try the pretzel bites for an appetizer this time and they were hot, soft and buttery..the melted pepper Jack cheese and German mustard was a great pairing. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend!!
Food was oh so very good! Satisfied my craving for some great German cuisine. A bit pricey for my taste but it was worth it.
Dining. It’s all very delicious.

Vintage 1847 Restaurant, nestled in the charming town of Herrmann, is a must-visit dining destination. The restaurant, housed in a renovated barn, offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere. One of the standout dishes is the famous French Onion soup, renowned for its delicious and cheesy flavor. The grilled chicken spaetzle, made in-house, is another popular choice, though it has a surprising level of spice. The German Trio and Schweineschnitzel are highly recommended as well. The potato pancake appetizer is a customer favorite, along with the schnitzel or German Duo.
The restaurant is part of a winery, but the wine selection and service have received mixed reviews, with some reports of pricey and small pours. The service is generally good, but there have been occasional instances of slow or inattentive service. Despite these occasional inconsistencies, Vintage 1847 Restaurant remains a unique and tasty dining destination, offering a delightful blend of German-inspired cuisine in a charming setting.
