“This is our “go to” when we leave church - they have the BEST breakfast buffet complete with biscuits and gravy, amazing fried potatoes, French toast, sausage, bacon, eggs… even desserts, and fresh fruit (that I’m always too full to eat!) And their lunch buffet is back!!!! I did a happy dance on the way up to get my three plates, and then was so miserably full I needed a nap! Service is always on point and food is always delicious! Def my fav place! Their Veits salad and fried chicken are our fav options when there isn’t a buffet but let me just say - I’ve NEVER had anything I didn’t love there!!! 🤤“

“My wife and I made a reservation for our 23 wedding anniversary. They had a special tabe set up for us with flowers, champagne glasses and a candle. They made our night very special! The waitress and the rest of the the staff was very friendly and even treated us to a free dessert. We had ribeye steak and it was delicious.“

“Got the ribeye, some fries, a lava cake for my father, and a strawberry shortcake - the meal was 50 bucks total after tip, I split the steak with my father. The portion sizes are large enough to be split between 2 people, so it's about 25 per person on average - some of the best steak I've ever had.

I recommend it - just get it medium. They undergrill slightly, so if you like medium rare, just ask for it medium.“

“Me and my family had the best time. The customer service was outstanding, and our food came out hot, delicious, and fast. I ordered the Gyro Bratwurst and it was absolutely worth it. I couldn't believe how similar to a actual Gyro it was. I was also able to try the bacon bomb cheeseburger and it was so good I ordered it the next day at lunch. We took my father who was recovering in the hospital a order of buffalo wings, and he said hands down the best wings he has ever had. He loved them so much that when he was released from the hospital he ordered 4 orders of wing to take home and freeze to enjoy whenever he wants. Prison Brews has became one of our favorite places to eat when visiting Jeff City!!! I can't wait to try other menu items when we come back! Such a great environment as well, very relaxing.“

“Awesome place and an intimate viewing experience. A lore more foreign and indie movies are played here. What’s nice is you can go right next door to cork and board and bring your drinks and food for a feel like you’re at home. Seating is great with comfy chairs.“

“The service was great. Our waitress refilled our drinks often and checked in on us enough. The hostess on the other hand just sat there and stared at her phone until we asked if we could get a table. She then told us that she was on a break.

Our food was fine. I had the catfish, my father and son both had a steak.“

She met us at our table, explained their process for food allergies, and ensured me that the kitchen staff had been notified. She personally delivered his food and checked in on us. We wish we had gone there sooner because the food, staff, and prices are really great. We will return to M.C. real soon.“

“We stopped by Slim Chickens around 11 AM on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised to find it nearly empty with just one other couple was there. There was plenty of free parking in the lot, and the restaurant was easy to spot from the main road.

I didn’t even realize there was another location in St. Louis, so this was a nice surprise! The food was great. We ordered chicken strips, fries, and garlic Texas toast. The portion size was generous for the price, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful.

What really made it stand out, though, was how perfect it was for my autistic son. He loved the garlic toast (a rare win for us!) and was totally hooked watching LEGO on the TV, which helped him stay calm and happy the whole time. The employees were friendly and welcoming, which added to the positive experience.

We had a great time and will definitely be back!“
