Stopped at this quaint spot in the road and, Oh Wow what a treat. First surprise was seeing the Ham dinner on the menu. It must be a favorite here and we could see why. Perfect cured taste and the gravy over top was delicious. All the sides mashed potatoes, green beans, and applesauce we very obviously homemade. Stopped by here to try out the fried chicken. The bread they brought out first was amazing!!! The meal came with Cole slaw, applesauce, green beans and mashed potatoes. The potatoes and gray was to die for. I got the 5 piece chicken and it was only 13.00. The chicken was great and highly recommend Steves!!

Steve's offers delicious, homestyle cooking. Their fried chicken is perfectly cooked as is their country ham. Their vinegar based slaw, green beans and fries are all excellent sides. Their bread, which is served as an appetizer, is tasty as well. It is a short drive from Jefferson City, and definitely worth it.
